Please, I don’t want to di*. Can somebody help me? I can’t breathe. Help me!

Kate is alone in her room, struggling to breathe

Help me! Somebody, please help!

Nobody answered her even her neighbor fell on deaf ears

Kate had just woke up in the middle of the night to use her inhaler as she felt stiffness in her lungs but she couldn’t find it. She searched her bag and her room. She still couldn’t find it. “Where is this thing nah, could it be I left it somewhere? But I used in Jerry’s Place and put it inside my bag. How come I can not find it? did it disappear? But, This is surprising. It couldn’t have disappeared..” she thought

She cried out in distress, feeling her chest tighten as panic set in. It was 1 am,. Alone in her room, she struggled to breathe. She reach out for her phone to call her boyfriend, His phone rang but he did not pick. She gave him 10 missed calls. “Jerry is not picking his call, could he be fast asleep?” Kate grumbled. He is the only one close to Kate and her family is in the village

With each labored breath, Kate's desperation grew. Unable to find relief, she sat alone, tears streaming down her face, as the weight of her condition bore down on her.

Kate: (frantic) Why won't anyone help me?

She manage to go out on the street. She sat close to a street light so she could be noticed should anyone pass by

A passing security guard caught sight of Kate's pa!!n but hesitated, unsure of how to respond to the young woman's cries for help.

“Please sir help me I’m not feeling fine” she beg. She  implored the security guard to take her to the hospital, her voice strained with fear and urgency.  “Help? No be me you go put for trouble” the security guard refused. However, the guard, feeling overwhelmed, retreated, leaving Kate stranded and scared.

Kate has struggled with asthma since birth . Her mother remained unaware until diagnosis was done at the hospital when she was 3 months old. Since then she has has been battling with it.

“My God please help me, give me one last chance. Give me life” as she thought about her mum and sister. She has been the breadwinner of the family.

Alone and desperate, Kate clings to the hope of survival, thinking of her family.

“God, give me one last chance. Spare me for my family's sake.” Kate prayed

Determined to find help, she attempted to crawl towards the nearest hospital, her strength waning with each agonizing movement.

Just as  her hope began to fade, a passing Bikeman noticed her plight. Sensing her distress, he stopped to inquire about her condition.

“Young lady what is the matter “ the bike man asked “sir  I couldn’t find my inhaler as I was about to use it by 1: 00am. She was wheezing seriously… “1:00am? this is 4am already”. The bike man said.

Realizing the urgency of the situation, the Bike man wasted no time with Kate clinging to him, “Thank you sir” she said weakly. He sped off towards the nearest clinic, determined to get her the help she so desperately needed.

As the motorcycle raced through the darkened streets, Kate dared to believe that perhaps, just perhaps, she might survive this ordeal.

The bike man raced to the hospital, urgency pounding in his chest. But when he reached the gate, it was locked tight. "Nurse! Nurse! There's an emergency!" he shouted, panic etching his voice.

The nurse hurried over, her face creased with concern. "Why all the commotion?" she asked, puzzled by the late-night disturbance.

The bike man pointed frantically toward Kate, who lay pale and gasping nearby. "This young lady, she's struggling to breathe! She had an asthma attck in the middle the of night. Please, she needs help before it's too late!" he pleaded in desperation thick in his words.

Kate struggled to catch her breath, her chest heaving as she gasped for air. Unable to speak, she gestured desperately for help. The Nurse, with a stern expression, turned to Kate, her voice filled with impatience. "Madam, move it! Are you expecting me to carry you?"

"Please, Nurse, have some compassion," The Bike Man pleaded, his eyes filled with concern. "Can't you see she's exhausted?"

The Nurse hesitated for a moment, glancing at Kate with a hint of no sympathy. Finally, she instructed the gate man and the bikeman to assist in bringing Kate inside.

With the help of the gate man and the bikeman, Kate was carefully lifted and carried into the building. The Nurse led the way, her brisk pace indicating a sense of urgency. Inside, the dimly lit hallway echoed with the sound of Kate's labored breathing.

As they reached the end of the hallway, a door swung open, revealing a sterile room filled with medical equipment. The Nurse motioned for Kate to lie down on the examination table, while hovered anxiously nearby.

With a sense of dread hanging in the air, Kate braced herself for whatever lay ahead, hoping desperately for some relief from her struggles.

In a bustling hospital reception area, a worried bike man stands, clutching his helmet nervously. He approaches the front desk, where a nurse sits behind a glass partition.

"Ma'am, please, you have to help her," he implores, his voice tinged with urgency.

The nurse looks up from her paperwork, her expression sympathetic but weary. "Sir, you'll need to make a deposit before we can start treatment. Unfortunately, the doctor isn't available at the moment. If you can make the deposit, we'll call him to attend to her."

The bike man's heart sinks at the news of the doctor's absence, but he knows he can't give up. "I don't know her," he admits, his voice wavering slightly. "I just offered to help. But I'll make plans to pay. How much is the bill?"

The nurse consults the patient's file before turning back to the bike man. "It's Seventy

thousand naira," she says softly, almost apologetically.

The bike man's eyes widen in disbelief. "But that's too much," he protests, his mind racing with worry.

Seeing the desperation in his eyes, the nurse's demeanor softens. "I understand, sir," she replies, her tone gentle. "We'll need at least fifty thousand naira for the deposit to start the treatment. Can you manage that?"

Determined to save the stranger's life, the bike man nods resolutely. "Okay," he agrees, his voice firm. "I'll transfer fifty thousand naira for the deposit. Just please, save her life."

Kate was struggling to breathe, so the nurse quickly put oxygen in her nose. She called the doctor for help.

After 30 minutes, the doctor arrived and began treating Kate. With the treatment, Kate's lungs felt better, and she could breathe easier. The doctor gave her medicine to help her sleep, and soon she slept off, while the kind biker kept watch over her.

Kate opened her eyes and found herself lying down. Beside her sat a kind-looking bikeman. "Hello, young lady. How are you feeling?" he asked with concern.

"I'm feeling better," Kate replied, attempting to sit up.

"No, no, just lay down. Don't stress yourself," the bikeman gently insisted. "I brought some food for you. I'll call the nurse to give you some medication, then you can eat and gain strength."

"Thank you, sir! May God bless you," Kate said gratefully.

"Amen," he replied with a warm smile. "I was on my way back from a delivery when I found you."

"Oh, thank you so much, sir. You really saved my life," Kate exclaimed, feeling immense gratitude.

As they spoke, the bikeman's phone rang. "I have another order to deliver now. I deposited fifty thousand naira. Let me quickly go. Please take care of yourself. Bye!" With that, the bikeman hurried off, leaving Kate to contemplate the kindness of strangers.

Shortly after, a nurse entered the room, carrying medication and a tray of food. "Good afternoon, dear. How are you feeling?" she asked kindly.

"Better, thank you," Kate replied, feeling grateful for the nurse's presence.

The nurse administered the medication and helped Kate sit up to eat. As she savored the meal, Kate's mind wandered, trying to piece together the events leading up to her rescue. But for now, she focused on regaining her strength and giving thanks for the strangers who had come to her aid.

The doctor, wearing a white coat, entered the hospital ward where Kate lay on her bed. Kate, with a pale face, looked up as the doctor approached.

"How are you feeling today, Kate?" the doctor asked kindly.

"I'm fine, doctor," Kate replied weakly, trying to muster a smile.

The doctor nodded and began to examine her, checking her pulse and listening to her heartbeat with a stethoscope. After a few moments, he stepped back and looked at her chart.

"I see you've been having some trouble with your health lately," the doctor said, his brow furrowed with concern.

Kate nodded, feeling a lump form in her throat.

"Don't worry, Kate," the doctor reassured her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "We'll get you feeling better in no time."

He wrote out a prescription for some tablets that Kate needed and handed it to her.

"Take these as directed," he instructed. "And make sure to follow my advice."

Kate nodded eagerly, grateful for the doctor's guidance. She knew she needed to do everything she could to get better.

The doctor leaned in closer to Kate, his voice gentle but firm as he gave her some important advice.

"Young lady," he began, "you need to take care of yourself. Avoid places where there's a lot of dust or sm#ke, and make sure to keep your room well-ventilated with fresh air."

Kate nodded, making a mental note of the doctor's instructions.

"Also, try to avoid fried foods," the doctor continued. "They can aggravate your condition. And don't expose yourself to cold temperatures or drink cold water. It could make you feel worse."

Kate listened intently, absorbing every word the doctor said.

"Okay, doctor," she replied earnestly. "I'll do everything you say. Thank you for your help."

The doctor smiled kindly and patted her hand reassuringly.

"You're welcome, Kate," he said. "Just remember to take care of yourself.

Kate hurried to the nurse's station to collect the prescription her doctor had given her. She approached the nurse and politely asked for her medication.

"Good morning," Kate said with a smile. "I'm here to pick up my prescription."

The nurse looked up from her desk and greeted Kate. "Good morning. Sure, let me check for you," she replied.

After a moment, the nurse found Kate's prescription and handed it to her. "Here you go," she said. "This is what the doctor prescribed for you."

Kate took the prescription and thanked the nurse. But just as she was about to leave, the nurse stopped her.

"Wait, young lady," the nurse said, looking at her computer screen. "It seems you still have a balance to pay for your previous visits."

Kate's heart sank a little. She had forgotten about the unpaid bills. "How much do I owe?" she asked.

"The balance is twenty thousand naira," the nurse informed her.

Kate nodded, understanding the situation. "Okay, I will transfer the money to your hospital account right away," she said.

She quickly took out her phone, opened her banking app, and transferred the money to the hospital's account.

"Thank you," the nurse said, confirming the payment. "You can collect your medication now."

Kate collected her medication, thanked the nurse again, and left the hospital feeling relieved that she had settled her bill.

As she was going home she still could not understand how her inhaler suddenly disappeared that night. “Anyways I am well now that’s all that matters”. She thought

EPISODE 4

Kate sat by her phone, her heart heavy with worry. She had called her boyfriend countless times, but he never answered. "Does he even see my missed calls?" she wondered aloud, her voice tinged with s@dness. The silence from his end made her feel unimportant, like her whereabouts didn't matter to him at all. she resolved to go and see her boyfriend. She needed answers. As she gathered her thoughts and prepared to confront him, she hoped that she would finally understand why he seemed so distant lately.

Kate stood outside her boyfriend Jerry's apartment building, the cheap face-me-I-face-you structure with its narrow corridors and peeling paint. She had been trying to reach Jerry all day, but he hadn't answered any of her calls. Finally, she decided to confront him in person.

"Why have you been ignoring my calls, Jerry? You didn't even bother to call me back," Kate demanded as Jerry opened the door.

"You're of no use to me," Jerry replied coldly. "I asked you to spend the night with me, but you refused."

"I had to attend to my customers early in the morning," Kate explained.

"So, your customers are more important than me?" Jerry retorted, his tone accusatory.

"I've been in the hospital since yesterday. I tried to call and inform you, but you never answered," Kate said, hurt evident in her voice.

"And so? What do you want me to do about it? Am I your doctor?" Jerry replied callously.

Kate couldn't believe his heartlessness. "Why are you so cruel, Jerry? I had an asthma attck," she confessed.

"Oh, your asthma again? You're practically half alive. Thank God you didn't d** in my house," Jerry mocked, his words cutting deep.

Kate couldn't hold back her tears. She felt devastated by Jerry's indifference. "You called me half alive?" she sobbed, feeling the weight of his words.

Ignoring her, Jerry walked away, leaving Kate alone in the hallway, feeling abandoned and betrayed.

Alone in Jerry's apartment, Kate wiped away her tears, feeling a mix of s@dness and @nger. She couldn't understand how Jerry could be so heartless towards her, especially when she needed him the most.

As she sat there, trying to gather her thoughts, she realized she couldn't stay in a relationship with someone who treated her so poorly. With newfound resolve, Kate stood up and made her way to the door, determined to leave Jerry behind

But as she reached for the doorknob, she hesitated. A part of her still clung to the hope that Jerry would come to his senses, apologize, and make things right. She sighed, torn between her feelings for him and her self-respect.

In the end, Kate knew what she had to do. With one  glance around the apartment, she turned away from the door and walked out, leaving Jerry and his heartlessness behind her. She knew it wouldn't be easy, but she was ready to face whatever lay ahead, knowing she deserved better than what Jerry had to offer.

In the quiet, dim light of early morning, Kate emerged from her small house, ready to start her day. The clock on the wall struck 5 am as she stepped out into the crisp air. Kate's worn apron was tied tightly around her waist as she made her way to her spot by the roadside.

Kate's small makeshift stall stood ready for another day of business. With practiced hands, she began to prepare the ingredients for her delicious food. The sizzle of oil in the pan filled the air as she cooked, her movements quick and efficient.

Though the sun had yet to rise fully, Kate knew that time was of the essence. Her customers would soon start to arrive, hungry students and busy workers looking for a quick and tasty meal to start their day.

As the minutes ticked by, the aroma of Kate's cooking began to waft through the air, enticing passersby with its delicious promise. Kate worked tirelessly, ensuring that 8 ameach dish was prepared with care and attention to detail.

By the time the clock struck , Kate's food was ready, steaming hot and waiting to be served. The first customers began to trickle in, drawn by the irresistible smell and the sight of Kate's friendly smile.

And so, another day began for Kate, her roadside stall bustling with activity as she served up her tasty fare to the hungry crowds.

As Kate cooked, a familiar voice called out to her. It was her regular customer, placing her order for rice, macaroni, and two pieces of meat. Kate quickly tallied up the cost and informed  her, "Your total is 700 naira."

Kate continued to serve customers throughout the morning, until it was nearly noon. The rush finally slowed down, and Kate took a moment to wash the dishes and clean the tables.

Just then, Jerry  approached her stall. "Hey Kate," he called out. "How's business today?"

"It's been good," Kate replied Jerry looked at her, a bit concerned. "Is everything okay? You didn't come to visit me the other day."

Kate sighed softly. "I've been busy with my little business. I didn't want to bother you."

Jerry nodded. "Well, let's forget about that. We can leave it in the past."

"Okay, no problem," Kate agreed.

"Hey Kate," Jerry called

"Yes?" Kate answered, noticing the concern on his face.

"I need 2500 naira from you," he said. "I want to use it to pay for electricity."

"But I gave you money last week for that," Kate replied, puzzled.

He sighed, "You know this electricity doesn't last anymore. Just give it to me so I can quickly pay."

Kate hesitated for a moment, then relented. "Okay, I didn't make much profit today. I only made 5000 naira this morning. Take it, but make sure you pay it today."

"Okay," he said, taking the money from her. He turned and left, leaving Kate hoping that the electricity would indeed be paid for.

Jerry went to the familiar shop where he placed his sports bets. It was a routine for him, almost like clockwork. He was a regular customer there, known for his obsession with betting.

Inside the shop, Jerry eagerly made his bookings with the money he collected from Kate , his eyes gleaming with anticipation. He placed his bets as if his entire life depended on it, oblivious to the consequences of his actions.

Time and time again, Jerry would deceive Kate, to fuel his @dd!ct!on. He would collect money from her and promise to pay her back, but his words were empty, lost in the haze of his gambling obsession.

Jerry's addction had taken a toll on his life. He neglected his work, his responsibilities, and himself. Eventually, he was sacked from his job, left with no savings and a mounting pile of debts.

As Jerry placed his bets for the day, his luck seemed to have run out. He lost all the money he had, leaving him furious and b*tter throughout the day. Yet, despite his anger, he couldn't shake the grip of his @dd!c!ion.

As Kate arrived home, she swiftly picked up her phone and dialed her mother's number. "Hello, Ma! Good afternoon, Mommy!" she greeted with warmth in her voice.

"Good afternoon, my dear. How are you doing?" her mother replied, her voice filled with affection.

"I'm fine, Ma. And you?" Kate inquired, concern evident in her tone.

"I'm very well, thank you," her mom assured her.

"I just called to check on you and Linda," Kate explained.

"We are fine, thank you," her mom replied, her voice tinged with curiosity.

Though Kate longed to confide in her mother about what had happened to her, she hesitated. Her mother's health condition, with her high bl**d pressure, made her wary of burdening her with troubling news. So, Kate held back, careful not to add to her mother's worries.

Brenda, Kate’s neigbour. Sighted Kate and called her out.

Kate and Brenda stood by the fence separating their houses, chatting under the warm afternoon sun. Brenda had just returned from a trip, Kate, greeted her eagerly.

"Hey Brenda, welcome back! How was your trip?" Kate asked with a smile.

"It was great, Kate! I had a wonderful time," Brenda replied, her face glowing with excitement.

As they continued talking, Brenda's tone turned serious. She looked at Kate with concern and said, "You know, Kate, I've noticed you working so hard selling food by the roadside. It's not easy, and I think you deserve better."

Kate sighed, feeling a mixture of frustration and resignation. "I know, Brenda. It's tough out here, but I'm doing my best to make ends meet."

Brenda reached out and gently placed a hand on Kate's shoulder. "Listen, I want to help you. I know someone who can give you a better opportunity, a chance to make more money without all the struggle."

Kate looked up at Brenda, her eyes shining with hope. "Really? That would be amazing! I'm tired of barely scraping by. Thank you, Brenda."

With a reassuring smile, Brenda nodded. "Don't worry, Kate. Everything is going to be alright. I'll  introduce you to someone who will give you a good connect to make money not all this one you are doing here. ."

"You won't stress yourself, Kate. All you need to do is follow instructions," Brenda said, a smile playing on her lips.

"Wow, that sounds amazing! Just following instructions? That's simple," Kate exclaimed, her face lighting up with enthusiasm. "I'm really interested in this job."

Brenda grinned, nodding in agreement. "Exactly! It's straightforward and easy. And look at me, Kate. Can you see how well I'm doing? I have an iPhone 15, and I send a lot of money home to my family. My dad even bought land to build his house soon."

Kate nodded, admiring Brenda's success. "Yeah, I can see how much you've changed since you started this job. It's definitely an upgrade."

"I will take you there ," Brenda said with a reassuring smile, her eyes filled with confidence.

Kate leaned in closer, her curiosity piqued. "What's the nature of the job, and how much is the salary?" she asked, eager for more details.

Brenda grinned, excitement evident in her voice. "The job is fantastic,  Kate, But trust me, when you get there , you'll see for yourself."

Kate's eyes widened in astonishment at the prospect of such a lucrative opportunity. With a nod of determination, she agreed to accompany Brenda.

Kate retreated to her room, her sanctuary filled with the comforting melodies of her favorite songs. Music was her escape, her solace in times of joy and sorrow. As the sound system filled the room with Mariah Carey's timeless hit, "Hero," Kate couldn't help but lose herself in the music.

With closed eyes and a soulful expression, she began to mime along, her voice effortlessly syncing with Mariah's powerful vocals. Kate was more than just a listener; she was a talented singer in her own right. In her free time, she poured her heart and soul into writing and composing songs, crafting melodies that resonated with raw emotion.

As she swayed to the rhythm, a pang of doubt crossed her mind. "I hope I won't d** with this talent of mine," she thought, her heart heavy with the weight of unrealized dreams. "It's too precious not to be heard."

But even in moments of uncertainty, Kate found solace in her music, knowing that her songs were a part of her, waiting to be shared with the world when the time was right. With renewed determination, she sang with passion, holding onto the hope that one day, her voice would be heard, and her songs would touch the hearts of many.

Jerry, with dreams bigger than his pockets, entered a Sport betting shop with confidence brimming in his eyes. He sauntered to the counter, eager to join the excitement of the games, oblivious to the rules.

"Stupid boy!" the shop attendant snapped, his voice cutting through Jerry's enthusiasm like a sharp blade. "You come here to play games without paying? Remove your watch and shoe. When you pay the 10k you played, you'll get them back. Don't waste your life on fo ol!s hness."

Jerry's pride flickered, but he brushed it off with a defiant smirk. "I'll win 10 million, and when I do, I'll deal with you," he retorted,

The shop attendant's patience wore thin as he chased Jerry away, shaking his head at the audacity of youth and the folly of dreams built on empty promises. And with that, Jerry's gamble began, setting the stage for a journey fraught with risks, lessons, and the harsh realities of life's uncertainties.

Jerry walked down the street, but something was different about him – he wasn't wearing any shoes. People passing by stared in confusion. They couldn't understand why someone dressed so nicely would be walking without shoes.

One of Jerry's friends noticed him and couldn't help but ask, "Jerry, what's happening? Why are you walking barefoot? Are you okay?"

Jerry glanced at his friend, feeling irritated by the attention. "Mind your own business and let me be," he snapped before continuing on his barefoot journey.

Jerry was walking home, looking really upset. His neighbors were laughing and pointing at him. One of them joked, "Hey, Jerry, did you forget to pay your bet again?" Another teased, "Jerry, did you lose your shoe this time?"

Ignoring their mocking, Jerry continued straight to his room. But as he entered, he realized something terrible: he had run out of food. Hungry and frustrated, he hurried over to Kate's place to ask for some food.

When Jerry arrived at Kate's house, he knocked on the door and Kate opened it. "You look great, Kate! How are you?" Jerry greeted her. "I'm good. It's unexpected to see you today," Kate replied. "Can't I come visit my girl?" Jerry asked. "You always say things that hurt my feelings, and now you're here calling me your girl," Kate said. "I thought you'd forgotten about what happened. That's all in the past. Anyway, your boy is hungry. What do you have for me?" Jerry smiled. "I made vegetable soup with Eba. Let me serve you," Kate said. "That's why I love you, Kate," Jerry responded.

Jerry looked into Kate's eyes. "Kate, please forgive me for what I said. I promise I won't say it again," he pleaded.

Kate sighed, hurt still fresh in her mind. "Jerry, you made me cry with your words. How can I trust you won't do it again?"

"Baby, I sw***r I'll change. You're my love, and I'll do whatever it takes to make it right," Jerry reassured her.

Kate hesitated, unsure if she could believe him. "Just give me one more chance," Jerry pleaded. "I'll prove it to you."

After a moment of silence, Kate nodded. "Okay, I'll give you another chance."

Jerry's face lit up with relief. "Thank you, Kate. I won't let you down."

As Jerry prepared to leave, he turned to Kate with a hopeful smile. "I'll make things right, I promise."

Kate watched him go, a mix of emotions swirling inside her. "Goodbye, Jerry," she whispered, wondering if he would truly change.

Jerry arrived home feeling exhausted yet relieved to finally relax in the comfort of his own space. As he stepped through the door,

Before Jerry could even kick off his shoes, he heard a knock on the door. Surprised, he opened it to find his landlord's daughter, MeeMee, standing there with a mischievous grin on her face.

"Hey, Jerry," MeeMee greeted, sauntering into the room without waiting for an invitation. "Don't you ever get tired?"

Jerry chuckled, shaking his head at her playful antics. "You know MeeMee, you're the only one who can make me feel like a real man after a long day."

MeeMee smirked, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "I hope your girlfriend won't come around here. don't want to see her hanging around you," she teased, nudging him playfully.

Chuckling nervously, Jerry tried to change the subject. "Come on, MeeMee, what do you have for your boy?"

MeeMee pushed Jerry onto his bed with a playful

shove, her laughter filling the room. With a mischievous twinkle in her eye, she began to tease him, slowly removing her skimpy gown and Jerry's trousers.

As Jerry watched her, he couldn't help but be captivated by her beauty. "Wow," he whispered under his breath, unable to resist her allure.

"MeeMee, you're? You are very sweet . I can't resist you."

Kate's phone rang, and her heart skipped a beat when she saw her mom's name flashing on the screen. Answering quickly, she heard her mom's worried voice on the other end. "Hello, Kate! How are you doing?" her mom asked with concern. "I'm fine, Mom," Kate reassured her. But then her mom dropped the bombshell – she needed money for medicine to control her high blood pressure.

With a lump in her throat, Kate promised to help. "Okay, Mommy, I've sent 20k to you," she said, trying to sound confident. "Please don't worry. I'm here for you, always. Your health is the most important thing."

Kate's mom had been struggling since her husband passed away. They had been deeply in love, and his sudden absence left a void that seemed impossible to fill. Kate couldn't bear to see her mom suffer, so she did everything she could to keep her spirits up and prevent her from slipping into depression.

As they hung up, Kate felt a mix of emotions – sadness for her mom's struggles, but also determination to be there for her no matter what. And amidst it all, she held onto hope that things would eventually get better.

Kate's landlord arrived at her doorstep, a stern expression etched on his face as he reminded her of the impending rent. "Good afternoon, sir," Kate greeted nervously. "How are you?"

"I'm fine, thank you," the landlord replied curtly. "Your rent will be due next month, and I've increased the rent to 200k."

Kate's heart sank at the news. "But I used to pay 150k. How come it's now 200k?" she asked, trying to mask her anxiety.

The landlord's tone turned firm. "Didn't you see? Everything has gone up in this country," he retorted. "If you can't afford it, I'll find someone else willing to pay 250k. I don't have time for excuses. You pay 200k or leave next month."

"Okay, sir, I understand," Kate replied meekly, her mind racing with worry. "Thank you."

Closing the door behind the landlord, Kate sank onto her couch, overwhelmed with frustration. "What kind of challenge is this?" she muttered to herself. "How am I going to come up with 200k by next month? I just wish Brenda's job opportunity comes through soon so I can pay the rent."

In her humble room, Kate found solace in the simple act of writing songs. With pen in hand and paper before her, she poured her heart out onto the page, crafting melodies that spoke to her soul. In a world filled with challenges and uncertainties, music was her refuge, her escape from the harsh realities of life.

With each stroke of the pen, Kate's troubles seemed to fade away, replaced by the beauty of the melodies she created. She sang softly to herself, her angelic voice filling the room with warmth and light. Each note was a balm to her weary spirit, a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there was still beauty to be found.

After a long day at her food stall, Kate trudged wearily back home. Her muscles ached from standing all day, and her eyelids felt heavy with exhaustion. With a sigh of relief, she unlocked the door to her small room and stepped inside.

The familiar comfort of her home enveloped her, but Kate knew she needed rest. Without wasting a moment, she made her way to her bedroom and collapsed onto her bed, the softness of the mattress welcoming her tired body.

Closing her eyes, Kate let out a contented sigh as sleep began to wash over her. The stresses of the day melted away, As she woke up,

a sudden tightness gripped her chest, making it difficult to breathe. Panic surged through her as her chest began to ache. Hastily, she reached for her handbag, fingers fumbling until they found the familiar shape of her Ventolin Inhaler. With shaky hands, she removed the cap, placed the inhaler to her lips, and inhaled deeply, feeling the medication rush into her lungs, easing the stiffness. Sighing with relief, she collapsed onto her bed, grateful for the temporary respite.

Kate lay still on her bed, trying to catch her breath after the scare. Thoughts raced through her mind as she reflected on her health condition. She knew she couldn't afford to neglect her asthma, especially with the increasing stress in her life. With a deep breath, she resolved to take better care of herself, starting with scheduling a check-up with her doctor. Closing her eyes, she drifted into a restless sleep, hoping for a better tomorrow.

Brenda knocked softly on Kate's bedroom door, her excitement barely contained. "Hey, Kate, got a minute? I hope you've been thinking about what we talked about," she said eagerly.

Kate's eyes widened in realization. "Oh, is it today?" she asked, a hint of nervousness in her voice.

Brenda shook her head with a smile. "Not today, silly! It's next week," she reassured her friend. "But I wanted to share some exciting news with you – I'm moving into my new place in Lekki tomorrow! It's a beautiful three-bedroom flat."

Kate's face lit up with genuine happiness. "Wow, that's amazing! I'm so happy for you," she exclaimed. "And hey, now that you're in Lekki, I hope you'll let me visit you."

Brenda grinned. "Of course! You're always welcome, Kate. Actually, that's why I'm here – I want you to come stay with me. Leave behind this rough life and join me in luxury," she said, her eyes sparkling with sincerity.

Kate couldn't believe her luck. "Wow, that's incredible! Thank you so much, Brenda," she said, feeling overwhelmed with gratitude. "I'll pack my things right away. We'll leave bright and early tomorrow morning."

As Brenda Left, Kate sat alone in her room, her mind was filled with dreams of a better future for her family. She envisioned a life where her mother and sister could thrive, free from the hardships that had plagued them for so long.

Kate made plans to send her sister to university, knowing that education would open doors to a brighter future. She imagined her sister's joy as she pursued her dreams and achieved her goals.

Kate also resolved to bring her mother to the city, where she could receive proper medical care and regular check-ups for her health issues. She pictured her mother's smile as she regained her strength and vitality, no longer burdened by illness.

In addition to caring for her family, Kate dreamed of expanding her own business. She knew that with the right connections and opportunities, she could take her business to new heights, providing financial stability for herself and her loved ones.

With a heart full of joy, Kate made her way to Jerry's place to share the news of her relocation. However, upon arriving, she was greeted with a shocking sight – MeeMee, Jerry's landlord's daughter, clad in nothing but a towel, rummaging through Jerry's pockets.

"Who are you, and what are you doing searching my boyfriend's jacket?" Kate demanded, her voice trembling with anger.

MeeMee smirked confidently. "Jerry is mine now, and you need to leave him alone," she declared. "You don't satisfy him, and you're barely alive anyway. Your time on this earth is limited, and I'll make sure to end it."Fueled by anger and disbelief, Kate pushed MeeMee against the wall, causing Jerry's jacket to fall to the ground. To Kate's horror, she discovered two inhalers hidden in the pocket – the same inhalers she desperately needed to manage her asthma. In shock, Kate confronted MeeMee, "How did these get here? Who hid them?" she demanded, her mind reeling with disbelief.

"It was me," MeeMee admitted with a wcked grin. "I hid them in Jerry's jacket so you would di* and leave him for me." MeeMee callously admitted to her sinister plan to sabotage Kate's health in hopes of winning Jerry's affections.

Kate couldn't comprehend the cruelty of MeeMee's actions. "You almost k****d me," she cried, her voice shaking with emotion. "And Jerry, how could you betray me like this?"

Jerry, who had just emerged from the bathroom, was stunned by the scene before him. "Kate, I'm sorry," he stammered. "You weren't supposed to see this. MeeMee, why did you do this?"

“So this is all you have to say right, after apologizing at my place and now this, you and your Landlord daughter want to k*** me, All you do is cause me so much pain. I’m done with you Jerry” Kate Said leaving both of them

“Baby leave her alone let her go she doesn’t worth you she is Miss Half Alive like you said” MeeMee laughed.

Feeling betrayed and heartbroken, Kate stormed out of Jerry's place, leaving both him and MeeMee behind. She knew that she deserved better than their deceit and cruelty, and she was determined to start anew, free from their toxic influence.

Kate returned home, her mind swirling with frustration and disappointment. she set about cleaning and packing her belongings. "There's no reason to stay here anymore," she muttered to herself, the weight of recent events pressing down on her. "My boyfriend's actions have put my life in danger. My landlord has raised the rent, and I simply can't afford it. My food business isn't doing well either – I barely make enough to get by, and sometimes I even lose money."

Sitting amidst her belongings, Kate pondered her next move. Leaving seemed like the only option, a chance to start fresh and leave behind the struggles that plagued her daily life. With a heavy heart but a determined spirit, she made the decision to seek a new beginning elsewhere. She knew she had to confront the reality of her situation – her boyfriend's behavior was becoming increasingly toxic, and she couldn't ignore it any longer.

Brenda, is  determine woman, she had made the decision to relocate to a new city in pursuit of better opportunities. With her trusty neighbor Kate by her side, she embarked on the daunting task of packing up their belongings to prepare for the journey ahead.

"Brenda, do you need any help with packing?" Kate called out, her voice tinged with excitement and anticipation.

Brenda emerged from the kitchen, a sense of purpose evident in her demeanor. "Yes, Kate, I could use a hand. Let's start by gathering our things and putting them into the suitcases."

Kate nodded eagerly, her eyes lighting up at the prospect of the adventure that lay ahead. With swift movements, she began to gather their belongings, carefully folding clothes and placing them into the waiting suitcases.

As Kate worked diligently, her landlord happened to pass by, his curiosity piqued by the sight of the two women preparing to leave.

"Kate, where are you going to?" the landlord inquired, his voice filled with concern.

"I didn't send you away, did I?" he added, a hint of confusion in his tone.

Kate paused, momentarily taken aback by the unexpected interruption. "No, sir, you didn't send me away," she replied, a faint smile playing on her lips. "We're just relocating to a new environment for better opportunities."

The landlord nodded understandingly, though a hint of disappointment flashed across his face. "Well, if that's what you need to do, then I won't stand in your way. Just know that you'll be missed around here."

With those words, he bid them farewell and continued on his way, leaving Brenda and Kate to resume their packing in peace.

“Kate, come inside the car”, I hope you left nothing,"? Brenda called out as she stood by the open door of their old home, a sense of anticipation in her voice.

"Everything is inside," Kate replied, her arms laden with the last of their belongings.

Satisfied, Brenda nodded and gestured for the driver to proceed. "Driver, you can move now," she ordered, her tone firm and decisive.

The driver obeyed, and the car pulled away from the curb, leaving behind the familiar sights and sounds of their old neighborhood. As they navigated the bustling streets of the city, Brenda and Kate settled into their seats, eager to begin the journey to their new apartment.

However, their excitement was soon tempered by the reality of the city's notorious traffic jams. Hours passed as the car inched its way along the congested roads, the sun beating down relentlessly overhead.

"Are we there yet?" Kate asked, her voice tinged with impatience.

Brenda shook her head, her brow furrowed with frustration. "Not yet, Kate. It looks like we'll be stuck in traffic for a while longer."

As the car crawled along, Brenda and Kate passed the time by chatting and reminiscing about their old home. They laughed at shared memories and made plans for the future, their spirits undimmed by the slow progress of their journey.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the car came to a halt outside their new apartment building. Brenda and Kate exchanged relieved smiles as they stepped out onto the bustling street, grateful to have finally reached their destination.

"Welcome home," Brenda said, her voice filled with warmth and affection as she unlocked the door to their new apartment.

Kate grinned, her eyes shining with excitement. "Thank you, Brenda. I can't wait to start unpacking and making this place our own."

Kate was so happy and at the same time suprised at beautiful apartment. “Brenda this place is very beautiful “ kate said. “ I know you will like”it,  Brenda said. They carry their luggage’s as the cab man zoomed off.

The apartment is already been cleaned by cleaning service , everything in the apartment is sparkling. They rested for a while and resumed cooking.

In the evening, as the sun began its descent towards the horizon, Brenda and Kate decided to take a trip to the beach to escape the heat and relax by the soothing waves.

As they arrived at the beach, Kate's eyes widened in amazement at the breathtaking beauty that surrounded them. "This place is beautiful," she exclaimed, her voice filled with wonder.

Brenda smiled, pleased to see Kate enjoying herself. "I'm glad you like it," she replied. "I always find it so peaceful and serene here."

"I like this place more than the community we stay in," Kate remarked, her gaze sweeping across the golden sands and azure waters.

Brenda chuckled softly. "Of course, here is where the big boys and girls live," she said with a hint of pride. "It's a different world from our old neighborhood."

"Wow, I see," Kate said, nodding in understanding. "It's good to change environments sometimes so you can meet people who will connect you."

Brenda nodded in agreement. "Exactly," she said. "Moving to a new area opens up so many opportunities to make new friends and connections. Who knows what adventures await us here?"

Jerry's life took an unexpected turn when he was caught red-handed, entangled in a scandalous affair with his landlord's daughter. With three months' worth of rent arrears hanging over his head like a dark cloud, Jerry found himself facing the wrath of his furious landlord, who wasted no time in kicking him out onto the streets.

With nowhere to turn and his future uncertain, Jerry's mind raced with desperation as he pondered his next move. It was then that a flicker of hope sparked within him as he remembered his girlfriend, Kate, and the warmth of her embrace.

"I have nowhere to go. Let me put up with Kate until I find a place," Jerry thought, his heart pounding.

Jerry set off towards Kate's former residence, his mind racing with thoughts of reconciliation and redemption. But as he approached the familiar building, a sense of dread washed over him as he noticed the absence of Kate's presence.

"Good morning, please, I'm looking for Kate, but her room is empty. Do you know where she went?" Jerry asked Kate's neighbor, his voice tinged with desperation.

The neighbor shook her head sympathetically. "Kate has moved out. She no longer stays here," she replied gently.

A wave of panic washed over Jerry as he processed the news. "Please, do you know where she is?" he pleaded, his voice trembling with fear.

"I heard she has relocated to Lekki," the neighbor offered, her words falling like a heavy weight upon Jerry's shoulders.

Stunned and overwhelmed, Jerry stood frozen in place, grappling with the reality of his situation. The realization that he had not only lost his home but also the love and support of the woman he cared for hit him like a ton of bricks.

"I am officially homeless," Jerry whispered, his voice barely audible over the chaos of the city streets. Regret gnawed at his heart as he reflected on his actions towards Kate and the reckless path he had chosen to follow.

Kate and Brenda were buzzing with excitement as they prepared for their evening out. Kate rifled through her wardrobe, selecting one of her finest corporate outfits.

"How do I look, Brenda?" Kate asked eagerly, twirling in front of her friend.

Brenda shook her head. "That's not what you're supposed to wear. Here, try this." She handed Kate a skimpy, sexy red gown.

Kate hesitated for a moment before slipping into the dress. As she looked at herself in the mirror, she couldn't help but feel a little self-conscious, but Brenda's encouragement was infectious.

"Wow, you look beautiful!" Brenda exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with approval. "And to top it off, let's add this human hair." She handed Kate a sleek wig, urging her to put it on.

With the wig securely in place and a pair of black heels adorning her feet, Kate felt a surge of confidence. Brenda, dressed in a golden short gown and red heels, was equally stunning.

Together, they ventured out into the night, anticipation bubbling in their veins. As they made their way to the mysterious destination they had discussed, Kate couldn't help but wonder what surprises awaited them.

As Kate and Brenda arrived at the venue, a magnificent mansion stood before them. Kate's eyes widened with surprise as she took in the sight of fine girls and big boys mingling around. Luxury cars lined the driveway, adding to the grandeur of the scene. The sound of music filled the air, blasting from the venue.

Brenda, sensing Kate's astonishment, offered her a seat amidst the bustling crowd. Curious, Kate leaned in to listen as Brenda explained. "There's a woman named Madam Gold who runs a high-end escort service. She's looking for new recruits, and she thinks you'd be perfect for the job."

Kate's eyes widened in surprise. The idea of becoming an escort is good it was something she thought she could do, but the promise of quick cash was hard to ignore.  “Is it not to escort her to where she is going? That’s very easy” Kate said

Brenda continued, "Madam Gold has connections with some of the wealthiest and most powerful men in the city. She'll set you up with clients, like politicians, footballers, musicians – you name it. All you have to do is make them feel special, and they'll pay top dollar for your company." Later, Brenda emerged from the mansion, beckoning Kate to follow her inside. With a warm smile, Brenda introduced Kate to a woman named Madam Gold. "Meet my friend Kate, Kate, this is Madam Gold," Brenda said.

"Pleasure to meet you,"  Kate greeted Madam Gold politely, expressing her pleasure at the introduction.

Madam Gold wasted no time getting to the point. She revealed a lucrative opportunity involving a politician named Alhaji Sanni. "I'm going to connect you to a politician named Alhaji Sanni," Madam Gold explained. "Your job is simple: make him feel like a man. In return, 500k will be transferred to you. I require my 200k share, non-negotiable. We operate four nights a week, which means you could earn 1.2 million in a month. We work with politicians, footballers, musicians – any celebrity you can imagine. If you play your cards right, you could even earn more than 1.2 million in a single day. Do you understand?"

Kate nodded, understanding the terms laid out before her. "Yes, Madam, I understand," she replied earnestly. With that, Madam Gold motioned for Kate to follow her, signaling the beginning of a new chapter in Kate's life.

Kate followed Madam Gold to Alhaji Sanni's room, feeling a knot of nervousness in her stomach. As they entered, Madam Gold exchanged a few words with Alhaji Sanni before excusing herself, leaving Kate alone with the politician.

Alhaji Sanni, a hefty man with a protruding belly, lounged on the couch, devoid of clothing. Kate's eyes widened in shock at the sight before her. She felt a wave of discomfort wash over her as Alhaji Sanni beckoned her closer.

“This is my Card, I am Alhaji Sanni you can call me anytime you need money but you must be good to earn it” He said. Kate quick put the card in his handbag.

"Come here, beautiful," he grinned, his bald head gleaming under the dim light. "You look so segzy. I need to taste you."

Kate's heart pounded in her chest as she fought to maintain her composure. This wasn't what she had signed up for. She took a step back, her eyes darting nervously around the room.

"I'm sorry, sir," she stammered, her voice trembling slightly. "But I can't do this."

Alhaji Sanni's grin faltered, replaced by a look of annoyance. "What do you mean you can't do this?" he demanded, his tone growing harsher. "You're here to please me, aren't you? Don't be f**lish, girl. Come here."

But Kate stood her ground, her resolve firm. "I'm sorry, sir," she repeated, her voice steadier this time. "But I can't go through with this. I won't touch you."

Alhaji Sanni's face darkened with @nger, and he rose from the couch, his imposing figure towering over Kate. "You little br@@t," he growled, his voice low and menacing. "You think you can defy me? You'll regret this, I promise you."

But Kate remained resolute, her gaze steady as she met Alhaji Sanni's furious stare. She may have entered this world of high-stakes temptation, but she refused to sacrifice her dignity for the promise of easy money.

Alhaji Sanni chuckled, a rough sound that sent shivers down Kate's spine. "Hmm, I guess it's your first time," he remarked, his tone almost mocking. "But don't worry, you'll get used to it."

He leaned in closer, his breath hot against Kate's skin. "If you treat me well," he whispered, a sinister glint in his eyes, "I'll give you an extra million separately. Your Madam won't have to know about it."

Kate's heart raced as she struggled to comprehend the magnitude of what was happening. She shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts, but Alhaji Sanni's next words cut through her confusion like a kn!!fe.

"Take off your clothes," he commanded, his voice cold and demanding. "Let's get down to business."

Fear gripped Kate's heart as she realized the true nature of Alhaji Sanni's intentions. With a surge of adrenaline, she pushed him away and bolted for the door.

But Alhaji Sanni was not one to be defied so easily. @nger flaring in his eyes, he lunged after Kate, his voice echoing through the room. "Come back here, you silly girl!" he roared, his fury palpable.

Kate ran as if her life depended on it, ignoring the pounding of her heart and the burn of her lungs. She knew she had to escape, no matter the cost.

Meanwhile, Alhaji Sanni hastily dressed himself and stormed out of the room, his rage boiling over. He made a beeline for Madam Gold, his fists clenched at his sides.

"How dare you bring such an unserious girl to me?" he spat, his voice dripping with venom. "I demand my money back."

Madam Gold's expression hardened as she listened to Alhaji Sanni's tirade. With a cool demeanor, she shook her head. "I'm sorry, Alhaji, but once the deal is made, there are no refunds."

Enraged, Alhaji Sanni stormed out of the mansion, his plans foiled and his pockets empty. And as for Kate, she disappeared into the night, far away from the d@ng erous world she had stumbled into.

Alhaji Sanni, paced outside the  lavish mansion, his mind swirling with @nger and frustration. Kate, had dared to refuse his advances. "She refused to sleep with me," he muttered to himself, his voice thick with rage. "No, she cannot just disappear like that. I can't afford to lose my money to Madam Gold."

Turning to his bodyguards, he barked orders. "Go after her! Find Kate, and bring her back to me!"

The bodyguards nodded obediently and set off in search of Kate, scouring the streets in vain. Hours passed, but there was no sign of her.

"Boss, we couldn't find her," one of the bodyguards reported, fear evident in his voice.

Alhaji Sanni's face darkened with fury. "What do you mean you couldn't find her? You allowed that woman to escape? I will not pay your salary if you cannot do such a simple task!"

Meanwhile, Kate, exhausted from the night's events, stumbled through the darkened streets. As she ran, her chest tightened, and she struggled to breathe. Gasping for air, she realized she was having an asthmatic attack.

Panicked, she frantically searched for her bag, her lifeline in moments like these. "My bag, my bag!" she cried out in desperation. Finally, she felt it hanging from her arm and hastily retrieved her Ventolin inhaler.

With trembling hands, she administered the medication, feeling relief flood through her as her airways opened up. Alone and vulnerable on the deserted street, she took a moment to gather her strength before continuing on her journey.

boiling just beneath the surface. Brenda found Kate sitting in the living room, a mixture of emotions flickering across her face. "How dare you leave Alhaji without doing what he asked for?" Brenda demanded, her voice sharp with accusations.

"You mean I should sell my body for money?" Kate retorted, her own anger rising to meet Brenda's. "I can't do that. I have my principles."

Brenda shook her head in disbelief. "You don't have any job at the moment. How do you intend to make money?" she asked, frustration evident in her voice. "All these nice things you admire in me and the luxurious life I live are courtesy of this lifestyle. You better put yourself together or else hunger will finish you and your family," Brenda warned, her tone laced with concern.

"I'd rather go look for a 9 to 5 job than resort to pr*stitu t!on," Kate declared firmly, her jaw set in determination. "I won't compromise my values for money."

"Oh, so you're calling me a pr*st itute now?" Brenda shot back, hurt flashing in her eyes. "No, I'm not. Don't take it that way," Kate replied quickly, realizing her words may have been too harsh. "Anyways, I've tried my best for you. It's up to you now," Brenda said with a sigh, knowing she couldn't force Kate to make a decision she wasn't ready to make.

Brenda sat across from Kate, her expression stern but not unkind. "I won't chase you out of my house," she began, her voice firm. "But since you've decided not to do the escort, you may need to find a job and fend for yourself. I can't be doing this, and you benefit from it."

Kate listened quietly, her mind racing with thoughts and worries. She felt the weight of her landlord's rent, Jerry's betrayal, and her mother's health pressing down on her. "If it's not my landlord's rent and Jerry's betrayal, coupled with Mom's health," she thought to herself, "I wouldn't have found myself in this situation. However it is, I will find a way."

Kate stood in front of the mirror, exhaustion etched into every line of her face. With a sigh, she reached for the makeup wipes, gently removing the layers of cosmetics that had masked her true self all night. As the last traces of mascara vanished, she felt a sense of relief wash over her.

Peeling off her dress, Kate let it fall to the floor, the weight of the fabric no longer a burden on her shoulders. With determined steps, she made her way to the bathroom, the cool tiles soothing beneath her feet. Turning on the water, she stepped into the shower, letting the warm spray wash away the grime of the day.

As the water cascaded over her, Kate closed her eyes and began to sing, the melody a balm to her weary soul. With each note, she felt the tension in her muscles begin to ease, the weight of her worries slipping away.

In that moment, surrounded by the comforting embrace of the water, Kate whispered a silent prayer to God. "Please," she pleaded, her voice barely a whisper above the sound of the rushing water. "Please, let me never meet Alhaji Sanni again. Let this be the end of that chapter in my life."

Kate's alarm clock buzzed at 6 a.m., stirring her from sleep. She yawned and stretched, blinking away the last remnants of sleep from her eyes. With a deep breath, she rolled out of bed, landing on the worn carpet of her modest bedroom. Kate was a woman of routine, and her day always started with her morning prayers.

She knelt by her bedside, clasping her hands together, and whispered her prayers, thanking the heavens for another day and asking for guidance in the day ahead. As she prayed, thoughts swirled in her mind - thoughts of responsibility, of providing for her family, of making ends meet in a world that seemed to grow more challenging by the day.

After her prayers, Kate rose to her feet and set about her morning chores. First, she tidied her small home, sweeping away the dust and arranging the few possessions she treasured. Then, she moved to the kitchen, where a stack of dirty dishes awaited her attention. With practiced efficiency, she scrubbed and rinsed, the warm water soothing her tired hands.

With the dishes washed and the kitchen gleaming, Kate turned her attention to the day ahead. She glanced at the clock - 7:30 a.m. Already, the morning was slipping away, and there was much to be done. She quickly threw together a simple breakfast, a few slices of bread and a cup of tea, which she consumed hurriedly as she pondered her next move.

As she ate, Kate's thoughts turned to Brenda, her dear friend and neighbor. Brenda had been like a sister to her , and the two women shared everything - laughter, tears, and the struggles of daily life. Kate knew she couldn't leave without telling Brenda where she was going, so she made a mental note  before setting out for the day.

Finishing her meal, Kate washed her dishes once more, then disappeared into the bathroom for a quick shower. The warm water cascaded over her body, washing away the fatigue of the morning and leaving her feeling refreshed and ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

By the time Kate emerged from the bathroom, it was nearly 8 a.m. She quickly dried herself off and threw on a simple dress, then grabbed her purse and headed for the door.

As she was about to leave a strange number called her. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Kate answered the call. Hello! May I know who is speaking?" Hello Kate it’s me Jerry, where are you?" Jerry's voice cracked with emotion as he spoke.

There was a brief pause on the other end of the line before Kate responded, her voice was cold and distant. What do you want?" she replied tersely.

"I went to your place, but I didn't see you," Jerry explained, desperation lacing his words. "My landlord kicked me out, Kate. I have nowhere to go." “ I am no longer staying in that Community”. Kate's response was like a knife to his heart, her words cutting through his already shattered spirit. "What do you want me to do if your landlord kicked you out? I thought you would marry his daughter so that he could will his house to you," she spat, her tone filled with contempt. "Jerry, stop calling me. You deserve what you got."

With those words, she abruptly ended the call, leaving Jerry stunned and reeling from the harsh reality of her rejection. Tears welled up in his eyes as he struggled to comprehend how he had let the woman he loved slip through his fingers.

"She is a treasure," Jerry whispered to himself, his voice choked with emotion. But it was too late. Kate was gone, and he was left to face the consequences of his actions alone.

Kate stepped out of the house. She was on a mission - to find a job, any job, that would help her support herself and her family. With a sense of purpose, she set off down the dusty streets, her worn shoes scuffing against the pavement.

She knocked on doors, handed out CVs, and inquired at every shop and office she passed. But the answer was always the same - sorry, no vacancies. Rejection after rejection weighed heavy on her heart, threatening to crush her spirit.

Just when she felt like giving up, Kate stumbled upon a small cleaning company nestled between two towering buildings. The sign above the door read "Clean Sweep Services." With a glimmer of hope, she pushed open the door and stepped inside.

A woman behind the front desk looked up as Kate entered, her eyes scanning over Kate's worn clothes and tired expression.

"Can I help you?" the woman asked, her voice tinged with curiosity.

"I'm looking for a job," Kate replied, her voice steady despite the nerves fluttering in her stomach.

The woman regarded her for a moment before nodding. "We're in need of a cleaner. Can you clean?"

"Yes, I can," Kate answered without hesitation. She may not have had formal training or experience, but she was willing to work hard and learn.

"Good," the woman said, a hint of relief in her voice. "Come back tomorrow morning to start. You'll work from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and we'll provide you with a uniform. The salary is 40,000 naira."

Kate's heart sank at the mention of the salary. It was barely enough to cover her basic expenses, let alone provide for her family. But she swallowed her pride and nodded.

"Okay, ma. I'll do it," she said, determination shining in her eyes.

As she walked home that evening, Kate couldn't shake the feeling of disappointment. The money was far from what she had hoped for, but she knew she had no other choice. She had to swallow her pride and take whatever opportunities came her way, no matter how small.

The next morning, Kate arrived at Clean Sweep Services promptly at 7 a.m., ready to start her new job. She donned the uniform provided to her - a simple blue smock and a pair of rubber gloves - and set to work with a determination that belied her circumstances.

Throughout the day, she scrubbed floors, washed windows, and dusted shelves with a diligence that impressed her coworkers and supervisors alike. Despite the monotony of the work and the ache in her muscles, Kate pushed on, fueled by the knowledge that she was providing for her family in the best way she knew how.

As the sun dipped below the horizon and the clock struck 6 p.m., Kate wiped the sweat from her brow and surveyed her handiwork with pride. She may not have chosen this path for herself, but she had embraced it wholeheartedly, turning what could have been a setback into an opportunity for growth and resilience.

With a tired but contented smile, Kate bid her coworkers goodnight and headed home, her heart lighter than it had been in weeks. She may have started at the bottom, but she knew that with hard work and determination, she could climb to the top. And for Kate, that was more than enough to keep her going.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the quiet street, Kate returned home from her long day of work. She pushed open the creaky gate and stepped into the small courtyard that served as her front yard, her tired feet dragging along the dusty path.

Inside the house, Brenda, her dear friend and neighbor, was bustling about, preparing for her evening plans. Kate greeted her with a tired smile.

"What's up, Brenda?" she asked, her voice tinged with exhaustion.

"I'm good," Brenda replied, not pausing in her movements. "I'm leaving for the night. I've cooked some rice and stew with chicken. Help yourself to it. I'll be back in the morning."

"Thank you, Brenda," Kate said gratefully, already imagining the warm meal waiting for her on the stove.

With Brenda out for the night, Kate decided to run a quick errand to top up her phone's airtime. She slipped out of the house and into the cool evening air, the sounds of the bustling city filling her ears.

As she walked, lost in thought, she was suddenly accosted by two young ladies on the sidewalk. They smiled brightly at her and began to talk animatedly, inviting her to a special program at their church.

"We're having a special service tomorrow," one of them said eagerly, thrusting a colorful flyer into Kate's hand. "You should come. I promise, when you leave our church, you'll never be the same."

Kate listened politely, nodding along as the ladies explained the details of the service and the location of the church. Though she wasn't particularly religious, something about their enthusiasm sparked a flicker of curiosity within her.

"Thank you for inviting me," she said with a small smile, tucking the flyer into her purse. "I'll think about it."

With that, she bid the ladies farewell and continued on her way, the invitation lingering in her mind.

When Kate finally arrived home, she wasted no time in dialing her mother's number. She listened intently as her mother and sister updated her on their day, their voices warm and familiar through the crackling phone line.

After exchanging pleasantries and promising to call again soon, Kate hung up the phone, feeling a sense of contentment wash over her.

As the sun rose high in the sky, casting a warm glow over the sleepy city , Kate eagerly dressed herself in her best clothes. It was Sunday morning, a day of rest for many, but for Kate, it held the promise of something new and exciting.

"Where are you off to this morning? Won't you rest today?" Brenda, her ever-curious neighbor, called out as Kate made her way to the door.

"I've been invited to a program at church," Kate replied with a smile. "Since I'm not working, I want to go. I promised the ladies who invited me that I would attend."

Brenda regarded her with a mixture of surprise and understanding. "Okay, if you say so," she said with a shrug.

With that, Kate bid Brenda farewell and stepped out into the bright morning sunshine. The walk to the church was short but filled with anticipation. She had never been one for religious gatherings, but something about the invitation had piqued her curiosity.

As she approached the church doors, she was greeted warmly by members of the congregation, their smiles bright and their hugs genuine. Kate felt a warmth spread through her chest, a feeling of belonging she had never experienced before.

Throughout the service, she listened intently to the preacher's words, nodding along in agreement as he spoke of love, hope, and redemption. The message resonated with her in a way she hadn't expected, stirring something deep within her soul.

By the time the service came to an end, Kate felt as though a weight had been lifted from her shoulders. She had found solace and peace within the walls of the church, surrounded by people who welcomed her with open arms.

As she made her way home that afternoon, a smile played at the corners of her lips. She was grateful for the invitation that had led her to this moment, grateful for the newfound sense of community and belonging she had discovered.

And as she looked ahead to the next Sunday, she felt a sense of eagerness and excitement bubbling within her. She couldn't wait to return to the church, to soak in more of the love and wisdom it had to offer. For Kate, this was just the beginning of a beautiful journey of faith and self-discovery.

As the month drew to a close, Kate found herself eagerly anticipating her salary. She had worked diligently throughout the weeks, scrubbing floors and dusting shelves with unwavering determination. Now, as she put the finishing touches on her morning cleaning routine, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement bubbling within her.

Just as she was about to gather her things and head home, her boss's voice cut through the quiet of the office.

"Kate, come to my office immediately," her boss called out, his tone serious.

With a furrowed brow, Kate made her way to her boss's office, her heart pounding in her chest. Had she done something wrong? Was she about to be reprimanded for her work?

As she stepped into the office, her boss gestured for her to take a seat. Kate perched on the edge of the chair, her nerves on edge.

Her boss reached into his desk drawer and pulled out a small envelope, which he handed to her with a solemn expression.

"Here's your salary for the month," he said simply.

Kate's eyes widened in surprise as she took the envelope from him. She had been expecting a bank transfer, but the sight of cash nestled within the envelope caught her off guard.

"Thank you," she said softly, her voice filled with gratitude.

Her boss nodded and handed her a small book, which she recognized as the attendance register. With trembling hands, she wrote her name and signed beside it, acknowledging receipt of her salary.

As she counted the bills inside the envelope, Kate's heart swelled with relief. The sight of the crisp banknotes was a testament to her hard work and dedication, a tangible reward for the long hours she had put in.

With a grateful smile, she thanked her boss once more and made her way out of the office, clutching the envelope tightly in her hand. Though the money would soon be spent on bills and groceries, for now, in this moment, it was a symbol of her success and resilience.

As Kate stepped out into the bustling streets, she couldn't help but feel a sense of pride wash over her. She may not have a glamorous job or a hefty paycheck, but she was making ends meet, one day at a time. And for Kate, that was more than enough.

After receiving her salary, Kate decided to share a portion of it with her family. With a warm heart, she picked up her phone and dialed her mother's number.

"Mom, I just sent 20,000 naira," Kate said as soon as her mother answered. "Please manage the money well."

Her mother's voice crackled with gratitude over the phone. "Thank you, Kate. We'll make sure to use it wisely," she promised.

Kate smiled, relieved to be able to help her family even in a small way. "You're welcome, Mom. Take care," she said before ending the call.

Feeling lighter knowing she had helped her family, Kate joined Brenda in the living room. Brenda was engrossed in a movie, laughing at the antics of the characters on screen.

Kate settled in beside her, the warmth of friendship enveloping her like a cozy blanket. As they watched the movie together, they laughed and joked, sharing in the simple joy of each other's company.

For a moment, all worries and troubles faded away, replaced by the pure happiness of friendship and laughter. And as the credits rolled on the screen, Kate felt grateful for moments like these - moments of connection

Kate sat on the edge of her bed, her chest tight with worry. She had just finished using her inhaler, only to discover that it was nearly empty. Panic set in as she realized she needed to get a new one, and fast.

Quickly, she dressed herself and made her way to the nearest pharmacy. As she entered, the warm glow of the overhead lights greeted her, but her mind was preoccupied with her urgent need.

"Good evening! I want to buy a Ventolin inhaler," Kate said to the pharmacist behind the counter, trying to keep the desperation out of her voice.

The pharmacist nodded and disappeared into the rows of shelves stocked with various medications. Moments later, she returned with the familiar blue box in hand.

Kate breathed a sigh of relief, reaching into her pocket to pull out the money she always kept aside for emergencies like this. She handed over 2500 naira to the pharmacist with a grateful smile.

But her relief was short-lived when the pharmacist's next words hit her like a ton of bricks.

"Madam, this is 2500 naira, but the Ventolin inhaler is sold for 22000 naira," the pharmacist said matter-of-factly.

Kate's heart sank. "What do you mean 22,000?" she asked, her voice trembling with disbelief. "I bought it for 2500 naira just last month."

The pharmacist's expression softened as she explained the grim reality. "I'm sorry, madam. GlaxoSmithKline, the company that manufactures Ventolin inhalers, has left Nigeria. They shut down their production line due to the unfavorable economic situation. It's not just the inhalers; they've ended their 51 years of existence in the country altogether."

Kate felt a wave of panic wash over her. Without access to affordable medication, how would she manage her asthma? How could she afford to pay such a steep price?

As she left the pharmacy empty-handed, Kate couldn't shake the feeling of helplessness that gripped her. Little did she know, this was just the beginning of her journey to find a solution to her dilemma.

Panic crept in as she realized she only had 20,000 naira left after sending 20,000 naira to her mum. Tears welled up in her eyes as she muttered, "How will I cope? What kind of bad leadership is this?"

Desperate to get the Ventolin inhaler she desperately needed to prevent another asthma attack, Kate pleaded with the pharmacist. "Please, can you accept my phone as collateral? I'll come back tomorrow and pay you the remaining 2,000 naira."

The pharmacist hesitated but finally relented, handing Kate the inhaler with a sympathetic smile.

The next day, Kate gathered her courage and approached her boss. "Ma'am, I need your help. Could you lend me 5,000 naira for an emergency? You can deduct it from my salary."

Her boss, impressed by Kate's dedication, agreed without hesitation. "Consider it done, Kate."

After work, Kate rushed to the pharmacy, relief flooding her as she handed over the remaining balance and reclaimed her phone. With the inhaler in hand, she knew she could breathe easy once again, both literally and figuratively.

Kate was a devoted member of her church, known for her unwavering commitment and joyful spirit. She found solace in singing and writing songs, so she decided to join the choir. Whenever Kate ministered, it seemed like the presence of God filled the room, touching hearts and bringing comfort to those in need.

One day, the church organized a healing program, and Kate eagerly participated. As she sang, miracles and testimonies abounded, with people experiencing divine healing and restoration. Pastor Toni prayed for everyone, and Kate put her faith into action, believing for her own miracle.

However, after the program, Kate's health remained unchanged. Despite this setback, she refused to lose faith. She continued to trust in God's plan, knowing that His timing is perfect and His ways are higher than hers.

Though she didn't see an immediate change in her circumstances, Kate's faith only grew stronger. She knew that God was working behind the scenes, orchestrating miracles in His own time. And so, with unwavering belief, Kate pressed on, confident that her breakthrough was just around the corner.

As the healing program concluded, Kate found herself surrounded by a sense of peace and fulfillment. She stood near the altar, basking in the afterglow of God's presence. Suddenly, a brother in the Lord approached her, his eyes shining with gratitude and admiration.

"Good evening, Sister," he greeted warmly, his voice resonating with sincerity.

"Good evening, sir," Kate replied, returning his smile. She was touched by his words of appreciation.

"I was blessed by your ministration today. My spirit was lifted as I worshiped. It's my first time here, but it feels like I've been a part of this congregation for a long time. Thank you for allowing God to use you for His glory," the brother continued, his voice filled with awe and reverence.

Kate's heart swelled with humility and joy at his words. "Thank you, sir. I'm truly honored to have been able to serve God in this way," she replied, her voice tinged with emotion.

"I was once like you," Kate confessed, her eyes reflecting the journey she had been on. "Lost and searching for meaning. But look at me now. I serve God with all my heart, especially through my voice."

The brother nodded, his expression one of understanding and respect. "It's truly inspiring to see how God can transform a life," he remarked, his gaze filled with admiration.

As they continued to converse, the brother's eyes suddenly narrowed in thought. "Sister, your face looks familiar," he commented, his brow furrowing slightly as he tried to recall where he had seen her before.

Kate's mind raced as she tried to make sense of his words. Could they have crossed paths somewhere before? Or was it simply a case of mistaken identity?

He asked for her name, triggering memories of a past event. She Told him her name is Kate. She remembered him as the bike man who once rushed her to the hospital. Grateful, she thanked him for saving her life. They exchanged pleasantries, and Kate learned his name was Frank. They exchanged numbers before parting ways.

Back home, Kate realized she hadn't used her inhaler for seven hours straight. She pondered if this was a miracle. Throughout the week, she went to work without experiencing any breathing difficulties. Filled with hope, she believed her miracle was finally coming true after attending healing services.

During her lunch break, Kate bumped into Frank at a local café. They shared a table, catching up on life since their last meeting. Frank revealed he had been searching for her since their first encounter. Kate was touched by his persistence and thanked him once again for his kindness. They parted ways with a promise to meet again soon.

As days passed, Kate and Frank's friendship blossomed. They spent hours talking on the phone, sharing stories, and dreams. Kate felt a deep connection with Frank, unlike anything she had experienced before. She cherished their newfound bond and eagerly looked forward to their next meeting.

On a beautiful Sunday morning, Kate and Frank met at the same church where they first encountered each other. Surrounded by the serenity of the place, they realized their feelings for each other had grown beyond friendship. With hearts full of love and hope, they embarked on a new journey together, grateful for the miracles that had brought them together.

Frank nervously dialed Kate's number. The anticipation of spending time with her on this Saturday evening filled him with both excitement and apprehension.

"Hey Kate, can we hang out this evening?" Frank asked, his voice betraying a hint of nervousness.

"Sure, we can. I'm just coming back from work. I'll freshen up and come over," Kate replied, her tone cheerful and welcoming.

After hastily showering and selecting a lemon gown paired with flat sandals, Kate ordered an Uber to take her to their designated meeting spot: Landmark Beach in Victoria Island, Lagos. The cool breeze off the ocean and the sound of waves crashing against the shore created the perfect ambiance for their rendezvous.

As they settled into a secluded spot on the beach, Frank and Kate engaged in lively conversation, exchanging stories and getting to know each other better. The laughter that echoed between them was punctuated by moments of genuine connection and shared interests.

"You're so beautiful, Kate," Frank remarked, his eyes reflecting sincerity and admiration. "Thank God I finally met you."

"Really?" Kate replied, a blush creeping onto her cheeks at the unexpected compliment.

"Yes," Frank affirmed, his gaze unwavering. "You're even more incredible in person than I could have imagined."

Kate's heart fluttered at his words, her initial nerves giving way to a sense of comfort and ease in Frank's presence. As they continued to converse under the starlit sky, she couldn't shake the feeling that this chance encounter might just be the beginning of something truly special.

Frank had returned to Nigeria from the USA to visit his parents , granted a two-month leave from his job. His mother invited him to church, which led to his unexpected reunion with Kate. Despite being a graduate in Engineering, Frank had struggled to find a job after university. Instead of idling away, he decided to work as a bike delivery person.

In a stroke of luck, a scholarship opportunity arose for graduates in his community to study an IT skills course in Software Engineering in the USA. Frank seized the opportunity and excelled in the course, surpassing his peers. Impressed by his abilities, he was offered a position as a Software Engineer at the headquarters in the USA.

With his career taking off, Frank found himself contemplating his future with Kate. He had  harbored feelings for her and envisioned her as his life partner. However, he was unsure of how she would feel about his sudden transformation from a struggling graduate to a successful engineer.

As Frank navigated his new life in the USA, he couldn't shake off thoughts of Kate. Despite the distance, he found himself yearning to share his achievements and dreams with her. With each passing day, his desire to make Kate his wife grew stronger, but he grappled with the uncertainty of her feelings towards him.

Through his dedication and hard work, Frank hoped to not only secure his future as a Software Engineer but also win Kate's heart and build a life together. Yet, the fear of rejection lingered, making his journey towards love and fulfillment all the more challenging and uncertain. Frank returned to Nigeria, this time, for Kate

Frank mustered up the courage to seek guidance from Pastor Toni regarding his feelings for Kate. He knew that Kate held a special place in the pastor's heart, and he hoped for some insight and blessing for his intentions.

"Good afternoon, sir," Frank greeted respectfully as he entered Pastor Toni's office.

"Good afternoon, Frank. How are you doing today?" Pastor Toni replied warmly, gesturing for Frank to take a seat.

"I'm doing well, thank you, sir," Frank responded, taking a deep breath to steady his nerves. "I'm here to talk to you about Kate."

Pastor Toni's expression softened, understanding the weight of Frank's words. Kate was not just any member of the congregation; she was someone Pastor Toni deeply cared about and held in high regard.

"I see," Pastor Toni nodded, encouraging Frank to continue.

"I love her, sir," Frank confessed earnestly. "And I want to marry her."

Pastor Toni listened attentively, nodding thoughtfully as Frank poured out his heart. He knew that Frank was a good man, with genuine intentions, but he also understood the importance of approaching such matters with wisdom and discernment.

"If you truly love her, Frank, and you are willing to do what is right by her, then you have my blessing," Pastor Toni said solemnly, his voice filled with wisdom and compassion.

Frank's heart swelled with gratitude at Pastor Toni's words. He had feared judgment or disapproval, but instead, he found understanding and support.

"Thank you, sir," Frank said sincerely, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. With Pastor Toni's blessing, he felt empowered to take the next step in his journey towards love and commitment.

As Frank left Pastor Toni's office, his mind was filled with thoughts of Kate and their future together. He knew that the path ahead would not be easy, but with faith and determination, he was ready to pursue his happiness and build a life with the woman he loved.

Kate had been looking forward to celebrating her birthday with her roommate and friend, Brenda. It was her first birthday away from home, and she wanted it to be special. She had imagined a cozy evening with cake, laughter, and maybe a movie. However, Brenda had other plans.

Frank had already called Brenda that he is back in the country. So, Brenda reached out to Frank to remind him about Kate's upcoming birthday, expressing her desire to make it truly memorable. "Saturday is Kate's birthday, and I want us to plan something huge for her to make her happy," Brenda said excitedly. She suggested having the celebration at their apartment, but Frank proposed changing the venue to somewhere special.

"Okay, that would be great," Frank agreed, eager to contribute to the birthday surprise. Brenda then informed Kate about the plans for her birthday, which was on a Saturday evening.

Curious about Kate's preferences, Frank asked, "What's her favorite color?" Brenda replied, "It's lemon and green." Frank then suggested hiring an event planner to organize the birthday and requested a cost estimate. He also suggested getting a fashion designer to create a gown, shoes, and human hair for Kate, as well as hiring a talented makeup artist to ensure she looks stunning.

"I will take care of that," Brenda assured him, ready to make Kate's birthday unforgettable.

On Saturday, Brenda woke Kate up early to get her ready. She laid out everything Kate needed to look good. "Go take a shower and dress up. We are going out to celebrate your birthday," Brenda said. Kate expressed her wish to celebrate at home due to financial constraints. "Just prepare yourself. I've already called the makeup artist. We have less than 2 hours," Brenda insisted.

Kate wondered where Brenda was taking her this time. "I hope it's not something extravagant," she thought. Despite her reservations, Kate got ready, surprised to see a luxurious Range Rover waiting outside. "Anyways, let's see how it goes," Kate thought as she stepped into the car.

Brenda took Kate to the venue, where they were greeted by a beautiful sight. The interior decorations and music created a festive atmosphere that amazed Kate. To her surprise, she spotted some of her church members and Frank's family among the guests.

Brenda offered Kate a seat as the party began, but Kate couldn't help but wonder who had paid for such an extravagant celebration. "Brenda, who paid for all of this? It seems very expensive," Kate asked.

"Just relax, Kate. You'll find out soon enough," Brenda reassured her with a smile.

The most shocking moment of the event came when Frank made a surprise appearance. Despite being in the USA, he had traveled all the way to Nigeria to attend Kate's birthday party. Kate was overwhelmed with happiness and felt deeply honored by Frank's gesture.

Frank strolled towards Kate, his heart pounding with excitement. Kate's face lit up as she saw him, her eyes sparkling with joy. He reached out and enveloped her in a warm hug, feeling her happiness radiating through him. Then, with a nervous but determined smile, Frank knelt down before her, pulling out a small box from his pocket.

"Will you marry me, my love?" Frank's voice trembled with anticipation as he opened the box to reveal a dazzling ring. Kate gasped in surprise, her cheeks flushing with emotion. She was taken aback but overwhelmed with happiness. Her mind raced, unsure of what to say, but her heart knew the answer.

"Yes, I will marry you, Frank," Kate finally managed to whisper, her voice filled with love and excitement. Tears of joy welled up in her eyes as she gazed into Frank's eyes, feeling a rush of emotions flood over her.

"She said yes!" Frank exclaimed, unable to contain his happiness. Cheers erupted from the crowd gathered around them, friends and family who had been eagerly watching the romantic scene unfold. Everyone clapped and cheered, sharing in the couple's joyous moment.

With trembling hands, Frank slipped the ring onto Kate's finger, sealing their love and commitment to each other. Then, unable to resist any longer, he leaned in and pressed his lips to hers in a tender kiss. It was their first kiss as an engaged couple, a sweet and magical moment that neither of them would ever forget.

As they pulled away, Kate felt like she was floating on air, her heart overflowing with love and happiness. This was the beginning of a new chapter in her life, and she couldn't wait to see what the future held for her.

The days that followed the proposal were a whirlwind of excitement and joy for Frank and Kate. They were both on cloud nine, basking in the glow of their newfound engagement. Everywhere they went, they were met with warm congratulations and well wishes from friends and family.

Kate couldn't stop staring at the ring on her finger, marveling at its beauty and what it symbolized. She felt like the luckiest woman in the world to have found someone as kind, loving, and devoted as Frank. Every time she looked into his eyes, she was reminded of the deep connection they shared and the bright future that lay ahead of them.

Together, Frank and Kate began to plan their wedding, pouring over magazines and websites, discussing venues, themes, and guest lists. It was a thrilling and sometimes overwhelming process, but they tackled it with enthusiasm and excitement, knowing that they were building the foundation for their future together.

Amidst all the wedding planning, Frank and Kate made sure to carve out time for each other, cherishing every moment they spent together. They went on romantic dates, took long walks hand in hand, and simply enjoyed being in each other's company.

With each passing day, their love only seemed to grow stronger, deepening and maturing as they prepared to embark on the next chapter of their lives together. They knew that there would be challenges ahead, but they also knew that as long as they had each other, they could overcome anything.

As they snuggled together on the couch one evening, watching the sunset paint the sky with hues of pink and gold, Kate couldn't help but feel a sense of bliss wash over her. She knew that she was exactly where she was meant to be, wrapped in the arms of the man she loved more than anything in the world.

And as they drifted off to sleep that night, their hearts full of love and contentment, Kate knew that this was just the beginning of their happily ever after.

promising to love each other forever. They had a big wedding, with important people coming to celebrate their special day. Kate's mom and sister were there too, feeling proud and happy for her. Kate's Room mate and friend , Brenda, was her chief bridesmaid, helping her with everything. Pastor Toni was the one who married them, making it official. The whole place was filled with love and happiness. Kate looked stunning in her fancy dress, and Frank looked handsome too, wearing his best suit. It was a magical day for the newlyweds, surrounded by their loved ones, ready to start their journey together as husband and wife.

After Frank and Kate's wedding, they started planning to move abroad. Kate wanted to take care of her mom, so she brought her to Lagos. They found a nice three-bedroom flat in Lekki and rented it for her mom. Kate also had a good idea to help her mom: she opened a food restaurant for her, so she could earn money and be independent.

Kate didn't forget about her younger sister either. She wanted her to have a good education, so she sponsored her to go to university. Even when her sister was on holiday, she would come back home to visit the family. Kate felt happy that she could support her loved ones and make their lives better.

Kate felt immense gratitude towards her friend Brenda, who had been by her side through thick and thin. Despite having opportunities to send kate away, Brenda chose to let her stay in her place, knowing how much she valued their friendship. Brenda had become like family to Kate, and she couldn't imagine her life without her.

To show her appreciation for Brenda's unwavering support, Kate decided to do something special for her. She helped Brenda pay for a whole year's rent, easing her financial burden and giving her some peace of mind. It was a gesture of gratitude and love, a way for Kate to say thank you for everything Brenda had done for her.

As Kate reflected on their friendship, she realized just how much Brenda meant to her. Sure, Brenda wasn't perfect, but she was always there when Kate needed her most. She was like a guardian angel, sent by God to watch over Kate and guide her through life's ups and downs.

With a grateful heart, Kate whispered to herself, "Brenda may not be perfect, but she is Godsent to me." And in that moment, she knew that their bond was something truly special, a friendship that would withstand the test of time.

Brenda, I will miss you so much," Kate said, her voice tinged with sadness as she hugged her  tightly.

"I will miss you too, Kate," Brenda replied, returning the embrace. The two friends held onto each other, knowing that they would soon be separated by miles and oceans.

As Kate and Frank prepared to leave for their new life abroad, their family gathered to bid them farewell. Kate's mom and sister stood by her side, their hearts heavy with emotion. Kate's mom couldn't help but feel a mixture of pride and sadness as she watched her daughter embark on this new journey.

"Mummy, don't worry," Kate reassured her mom, sensing her unease. "You will visit me soon, and we will talk every day."

Tears welled up in her mom's eyes as she hugged Kate tightly, her emotions overwhelming her. "Take care of yourself, my dear," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion.

With one last embrace, Kate and Frank said their goodbyes and headed off on their new adventure. As they drove away, Kate couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness at leaving her family behind. But she also felt excited about the possibilities that lay ahead, knowing that she had Frank by her side every step of the way.
