WHO WILL SAVE OUR LAND
EPISODE 1
WRITTEN BY PALAY CEE
Once upon a time,
There is a community called NGODO Autonomous Community,
Located in Benin, Nigeria.
The community is well blessed with beautiful and intelligent people,
And the community is blessed with coal, which is where the community generates money from.
UGODO Autonomous Community is so wealthy,
To the extent that they lend money to the host community.
NGODO Autonomous Community is the most peaceful community in the entire Benin.
NGODO Autonomous Community is ruled by a king named King Steven.
King Steven married a beautiful wife named Queen Sofia.
They bore only two boys.
Named Prince Ifeanyi and Prince Anthony.
King Steven regrets not having a girl child.
He said, "God, you were supposed to bless me with a girl."
Because of that,
King Steven loves girls more than boys.
Every day, King Steven will be disturbing his wife, Queen Sofia,
Asking her why she didn't bear a girl for him.
Queen Sofia would say that it is not her fault.
She said, "King Steven, whatever you put inside me,
Is what I'm going to bear for you."
King Steven would say, "I know that I should have made it a girl.
But I think as a girl, you can still do it."
King Steven regrets not having a girl as a child.
There is a guy named Jonathan.
Very brave and hardworking.
When Jonathan was still small, he saw himself as a great person.
Jonathan said to himself that anything that would make him become popular,
Apart from stealing, kidnapping, or killing innocent people,
He wouldn't do any negative things.
That everything that would make his name popular, he would do it.
That every opportunity that may make him become popular,
He would seize it.
Jonathan came from the family of Mr. Samson and Mrs. Florence.
Mr. Samson and Mrs. Florence had three children.
One boy, Jonathan, and two girls, Mary and Grace.
Jonathan loves to dance.
Every time he would just go to one side and dance.
Jonathan has a girlfriend called Nolene who loves him very much.
Nolene comes from the family of Mr. Nwaike and Mrs. Ademide.
Mr. Nwaike and Mrs. Ademide had four children.
Three boys, Chizaram, Osita, Andrew, and one girl, Nolene.
Nolene doesn't play with Jonathan, her lover.
She loves Jonathan with all her heart.
Any time Jonathan has a small problem,
She will not be happy throughout the day.
Any person who tries to stop Nolene on the way,
Trying to ask her to be their girlfriend,
Nolene will say to the person that,
She is already engaged with someone.
Jonathan also loves Nolene very much.
He doesn't play with Nolene.
If you touch Nolene, you have touched him too.
Anytime Jonathan would be dancing,
Nolene would be clapping for him.
Sometimes Nolene would ask Jonathan to teach her how to dance.
Jonathan would teach her how to dance,
But Nolene doesn't know how to dance,
Even though she watches Jonathan every day.
It's like dancing is not in her blood.
Jonathan and Nolene act as if they are already married.
Some of the NGODO people always come out to a football pitch named OGIDI Field.
Every evening, the villagers would gather there.
Some would be playing football,
While some would be dancing on one side.
Others would be doing other things.
NGODO people love themselves,
And they also love strangers so much.
If you are a stranger, they will welcome you and give you everything.
But if you misbehave,
The villagers will treat you harshly.
One day, Nolene decided to visit Jonathan.
As Nolene made her way to Jonathan's house, the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over NGODO Autonomous Community. Excitement bubbled within her as she anticipated seeing her beloved Jonathan.
Meanwhile, Jonathan, unaware of Nolene's visit, was practicing his dance moves in his room, lost in the rhythm of the music. His siblings, Mary and Grace, watched him with amusement, cheering him on as he twirled and spun with grace.
Suddenly, a knock echoed through the house, interrupting Jonathan's dance session. Surprised, he hurried to answer the door, wondering who could be visiting at this hour.
To his delight, standing before him was Nolene, her eyes sparkling with joy. Jonathan's heart swelled with happiness at the sight of her.
"Nolene, what a pleasant surprise!" Jonathan exclaimed, pulling her into a warm embrace.
"I couldn't resist seeing you, Jonathan," Nolene replied, her cheeks flushed with excitement.
Jonathan ushered Nolene inside, where his family welcomed her with open arms. Mrs. Florence, Jonathan's mother, beamed at the sight of Nolene, delighted to have her as a guest.
As the evening wore on, Jonathan and Nolene sat together, lost in conversation, their laughter filling the room. Jonathan's siblings watched them with fondness, knowing how deeply they cared for each other.
Meanwhile, in the royal palace, King Steven paced restlessly, his mind consumed by thoughts of his desire for a daughter. Queen Sofia, observing her husband's agitation, approached him with concern.
"What troubles you, my king?" Queen Sofia asked gently, placing a comforting hand on his arm.
King Steven sighed heavily, his brow furrowed with worry. "I cannot shake this feeling of longing for a daughter, Sofia. I fear that my heart will never be at peace until I hold a baby girl in my arms."
Queen Sofia's heart ached for her husband's sorrow, knowing that she had no control over the gender of their children. She resolved to find a way to ease his suffering and bring him joy once more.
Back at Jonathan's house, as the night grew late, Nolene reluctantly prepared to leave, promising to visit again soon. Jonathan walked her to the door, his heart overflowing with love for her.
"Until we meet again, my dear Nolene," Jonathan whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead.
With a final embrace, Nolene bid Jonathan farewell, her heart lighter than it had been in days. As she made her way home, a sense of contentment settled over her, knowing that she was loved by the one who mattered most.
Little did they know, fate was about to intervene, setting into motion events that would change their lives forever
The next morning, the sun rose brightly over NGODO Autonomous Community, but people felt uneasy without knowing why.
In the palace, King Steven couldn't relax. He really wanted a daughter, despite Queen Sofia's attempts to comfort him. So, Queen Sofia asked the village elders for advice.
Meanwhile, Jonathan woke up feeling determined. He was excited for the day ahead, especially thinking about Nolene.
Nolene woke up smiling, still happy about visiting Jonathan's home. She felt like something special was going to happen that day.
At noon, there was a lot of excitement in the village square. People gathered to hear news about a traveling circus coming to town.
Jonathan and Nolene were curious, so they went to check out the circus. They were amazed by acrobats and clowns.
There was also a fortune teller at the circus. Jonathan and Nolene were intrigued and wanted to know their futures.
The fortune teller welcomed them with a smile and read their fortunes using old tarot cards. But just as she was about to reveal something important, a strong wind blew the cards away, causing chaos.
The circus quickly left, leaving Jonathan and Nolene puzzled. They didn't know that this encounter would change their lives forever.
As the sun set, a new chapter began for Jonathan and Nolene, full of love, adventure, and surprisess.
The next morning, something mysterious happened in NGODO village. People talked quietly about the circus leaving suddenly and a strange thing with the fortune teller's cards.
Queen Sofia told King Steven that the village leaders said they should talk to an old wise person who lived near the forest. They thought this person might know what was going on.
King Steven agreed, forgetting about wanting a daughter for a moment. He said they should go find the wise person right away.
Meanwhile, Jonathan and Nolene felt uneasy since the circus left out of nowhere. They wanted to know what happened, so they decided to investigate.
They went back to where the fortune teller had been. They hoped to find a clue in the mess. Surprisingly, they found a tarot card on the ground. It showed a person with a lantern at a crossroads.
"This must mean something," Nolene said, excited.
Jonathan agreed and suggested showing it to the wise person. Maybe they could explain what it meant.
As they walked to the wise person's house, they felt like someone was watching them. Shadows moved in the trees, and the forest seemed quiet, like it was waiting for something big.
Finally, they arrived at the wise person's house, a simple home in the trees. The wise person welcomed them and said they were expecting them, like they already knew why they came.
Jonathan and Nolene showed the tarot card to the wise person. They recognized it as "The Hermit," a symbol of thinking deeply and finding your own way.
The wise person said the circus leaving and the missing cards weren't accidents. They said there were mysterious things happening that they didn't understand. But they believed Jonathan and Nolene were meant to solve the mystery.
Feeling determined, Jonathan and Nolene left the wise person's house, knowing their journey was just beginning, and the village's future depended on them.
"When King Steven and Queen Sofia reached the old wise person, they didn't see anyone. They waited, but no one appeared. Disheartened, the King and Queen decided to return to the palace.
The following day, King Steven pondered to himself, 'I will stop dwelling on the idea of having a girl child. I am not God, who bestows children. There must be a purpose to it.'
'Instead,' he reflected, 'I should be grateful to God for blessing me with two children. There are people praying fervently for just one child, yet I have been given two handsome and brilliant boys.'
'Forgive me for questioning your decisions, God,' he prayed. 'Thank you for the gifts you have bestowed upon me. From this day forth, I will not yearn for a girl child.'
That night, Steven confided in his wife, 'Today marks the end of our discussions about not having a girl child. We are not the givers of life; we will accept any child God blesses us with.'
Moved by his understanding, Queen Sofia replied, 'Thank you, my husband, for your acceptance. If it is God's will, we may still have a girl child. I am still young enough to bear one if God desires.'
'Alright, my Queen,' Steven said tenderly. 'I love you dearly.'
'I love you too,' Sofia responded.
With a kiss, Steven expressed, 'Without you, my life would be incomplete. You will always be my Queen.'
'You are the perfect partner,' Sofia affirmed. 'You are my everything.'
They shared a tender moment of affection before embracing in a passionate kiss.
After that night, God decided to bless them with a girl child.
Days passed, and one week later, Queen Sofia discovered she was pregnant. Overjoyed, she shared the news with her husband.
King Steven was ecstatic. 'Whatever God grants us, I will accept with an open heart.'
One month later, Queen Sofia visited the hospital for a pregnancy check-up. The doctor confirmed that she was expecting a girl child.
Delighted by the news, Queen Sofia returned home and shared it with King Steven.
Filled with happiness, King Steven insisted, 'I want you to eat whatever you desire and refrain from any strenuous work. Let our maid take care of everything. I want nothing to harm you or our baby girl.'
Unbeknownst to him, God had answered his prayers for a girl child.
And from that day forward
And from that day forward, the kingdom was filled with anticipation and excitement as they awaited the arrival of the royal baby girl. The entire palace was adorned with decorations in shades of pink and lavender, signaling the impending arrival of the newest member of the royal family.
As Queen Sofia's due date approached, the kingdom buzzed with excitement. Citizens from far and wide sent gifts and well wishes, eager to welcome the princess into the world.
Meanwhile, King Steven and Queen Sofia spent their days preparing for the arrival of their daughter. They lovingly decorated the nursery, selecting the softest fabrics and the most beautiful furnishings for their little princess.
However, amidst the joyous anticipation, there lurked a shadow of concern. Rumors began to spread throughout the kingdom of unrest in the neighboring lands. Whispers of war and conflict reached the ears of King Steven, threatening the peace and stability of the realm.
Determined to protect his family and his kingdom, King Steven made preparations for the possibility of conflict. He bolstered the defenses of the kingdom and sought counsel from his most trusted advisors.
As tensions mounted, Queen Sofia grew anxious for the safety of her unborn child. She pleaded with King Steven to ensure the safety of their daughter, no matter the cost.
In the midst of uncertainty and fear, Queen Sofia went into labor. The entire kingdom held its breath as the royal physicians attended to her, praying for the safe delivery of the princess.
After hours of labor, the cries of a newborn baby filled the air, bringing tears of joy to King Steven and Queen Sofia's eyes. The princess was born healthy and strong, a beacon of hope in troubled times.
In the days that followed, the kingdom celebrated the birth of the princess, finding solace and joy amidst the chaos of the world. And as King Steven held his newborn daughter in his arms, he knew that no matter what trials lay ahead, his family would face them together, united in love and strength.
As the kingdom basked in the joy of the princess's arrival, preparations for her naming ceremony were underway. The royal court buzzed with excitement as guests from neighboring kingdoms arrived to celebrate the momentous occasion.
Queen Sofia and King Steven carefully chose the perfect name for their daughter, a name that would reflect her strength and resilience. After much deliberation, they decided on the name "Princess Aurora," meaning "dawn," symbolizing hope and new beginnings.
The day of the naming ceremony arrived, and the palace grounds were transformed into a scene of enchantment. Flower arches adorned the pathways, and the air was filled with the sweet scent of roses and lilies.
As the royal guests gathered in the grand hall, anticipation filled the air. King Steven and Queen Sofia entered, Princess Aurora cradled in her mother's arms, radiant smiles on their faces.
Amidst cheers and applause, the royal herald stepped forward to announce the arrival of the royal family. With a flourish, he declared, "Presenting her royal highness, Princess Aurora, daughter of King Steven and Queen Sofia!"
The guests erupted into applause as King Steven and Queen Sofia made their way to the center of the hall. With great solemnity, the royal priest performed the ancient rites of the naming ceremony, blessing Princess Aurora with health, happiness, and prosperity.
As the ceremony concluded, a festive banquet commenced, with music and merriment filling the air. Guests toasted to the health and future of Princess Aurora, and the kingdom rejoiced in the promise of a bright future under her benevolent rule.
And as the sun set on the horizon, casting a golden glow over the kingdom, King Steven and Queen Sofia looked upon their daughter with pride and love, knowing that she was destined for greatness.
One day, Jonathan decided to visit Nolene to see how she was doing.
When Jonathan reached their house, he discovered that Nolene was practicing to learn how to dance.
Nolene welcomed Jonathan.
Jonathan: "Are you learning how to dance? I've seen you practicing. You know how to dance. When did you learn all these styles? You're really trying."
Nolene: "I learned from you."
Jonathan: "But every time I try to teach you how to dance, you don't take it seriously."
Nolene: "Yes, I just pretended to deceive you, to divert your attention. I've been practicing every day to see if I can dance like you, so people will praise us. They'll say you know how to dance, and I know how to dance. They'll say we're a perfect match."
Nolene: "Jonathan, the day I noticed that dancing brings you the most joy, I started training myself to dance. All I want in this world is to see you happy."
Jonathan: "Thank you once more for being there for me. I promise I won't leave you in this world."
Nolene: "I love you too. I won't ever think of leaving you."
Jonathan kissed Nolene and reassured her, "Don't be afraid. Nothing can separate us, not even death."
Nolene: "Let me bring food, let's eat."
Jonathan: "No, I ate before coming here."
Nolene: "Is that what you always say? But today, I won't accept it. You must eat in my house."
Nolene: "Jonathan, have you seen how a mother feeds a child who doesn't want to eat? That's what I'm going to do to you now."
Jonathan: "Okay, go and bring the food. Let's eat, my love. I don't want you to be unhappy."
Jonathan and Nolene ate the food together.
Nolene: "Congratulations on eating in my house. Usually, I'm the one eating at your house. But when I ask you to eat at mine, you always find excuses."
Jonathan: "It's not that eating at your house is hard for me. It's just that we're not used to eating outside our own place."
Nolene: "Okay, I understand. What about your family?"
Jonathan: "They're all fine."
After they finished discussing, Jonathan said, "I'll be going back home."
Nolene replied, "Okay, see you later."
Jonathan kissed Nolene and said, "See you later."
Jonathan left.
That night, the community's troubles began.
There was a demon that resided in the evil forest. The demon fed on human beings and loved blood.
That night, the demon intended to go to another community but mistakenly entered NGODO community.
When the demon arrived, there were still two guys outside. The demon rushed them and used its pin-like fingers to attack them. It grabbed their stomachs and tore them apart, causing instant death.
The demon then started drinking their blood, enjoying its meal. It decided that the blood in NGODO community was very sweet and resolved to return every night to feed itself.
The demon left the place.
The next day dawned.
"As the sun rose over the kingdom, casting its warm rays upon the land, the villagers of NGODO awoke to a sense of dread lingering in the air. News of the demon's gruesome attacks spread like wildfire, igniting fear in the hearts of the community.
Jonathan, unaware of the impending danger, went about his morning routine. However, upon hearing the whispers of terror echoing through the village, he knew he had to act.
Hurrying to Nolene's house, his heart heavy with concern for her safety, Jonathan burst through the door to find her anxiously pacing the room, her eyes wide with fear.
Jonathan: "Nolene, have you heard? The demon has struck again, and this time, it's closer to home."
Nolene's hands trembled as she clutched Jonathan's arm, her voice quivering with fear.
Nolene: "Oh, Jonathan, what are we going to do? How can we protect ourselves from such a monstrous creature?"
Jonathan's mind raced with thoughts of how to keep Nolene safe from harm. Determined to face the threat head-on, he reassured her with unwavering resolve.
Jonathan: "We will find a way, Nolene. Together, we will stand against this evil and protect our community from harm. But first, we must gather the villagers and devise a plan to defeat the demon."
Jonathan: "Nolene, we need to hear from the King. To know what he is saying."
Nolene: "Yes, you are right. Let's first consult the King."
Jonathan and Nolene headed to the palace.
When they reached there, the cabinet of the NGODO community had already arrived at the palace.
Jonathan: "My King, I greet you. I come to ask you what we will do now to save our land."
King Steven: "We were discussing this before you interrupted us."
Jonathan: "Okay, my King, we need to do something."
King Steven: "Is there anything you want us to do? We will do it."
Jonathan: "My King, we need to first summon the villagers and select some men to fight the demon."
King Steven: "That's a good idea. I give you the power to go and summon the villagers. Tell them what you want to tell them. Anyone who kills the demon will be rewarded with the community's wealth."
Jonathan and Nolene left the palace.
With determination burning in their hearts, they set out to rally the villagers to their cause. As they traversed the winding streets of NGODO, they encountered fearful faces and worried whispers, but they refused to be deterred.
Gathering the villagers in the central square, Jonathan addressed them with a voice filled with conviction and courage.
Jonathan: "My fellow villagers, we stand at the brink of peril, but fear not, for united, we are strong. The demon may be a formidable foe, but together, we will not falter. We must strategize and prepare to defend our homes and loved ones from this evil menace."
The villagers listened intently, their eyes reflecting a mixture of fear and determination. With Jonathan's guidance, they began to formulate a plan to confront the demon and drive it from their midst.
As dusk fell upon NGODO, the villagers stood ready, armed with weapons forged from iron and resolve. Jonathan and Nolene stood at the forefront, their hearts intertwined in a bond forged by love and courage.
Suddenly, the air grew thick with an eerie silence, broken only by the sound of rustling leaves and distant whispers. The demon emerged from the darkness, its sinister form casting a shadow over the trembling villagers.
With a roar that echoed through the night..."
"The men from the village attacked the demon, but it seemed as if their weapons were too weak. The demon counterattacked and killed almost all of them.
Jonathan: Nolene, let's run.
They started running.
Some other fighters took a different road and escaped.
The demon defeated the NGODO warriors and fed on them.
The demon was pleased with the blood he drank that night.
The demon thought to itself that he would return to the village because the blood of this community was so sweet.
Then, the demon disappeared.
When Jonathan and Nolene escaped death at the hands of the demon,
Nolene: I will not consider joining those who will fight this demon again.
Nolene: This demon is too powerful. A bloodthirsty demon.
Jonathan: I have never seen anything like this in my life. This is my first encounter with a demon.
To kill this demon will require extraordinary power. Conquering this demon will not be easy.
Jonathan: I need to speak to King Steven. Killing this demon will not be as easy as we thought. As Jonathan and Nolene returned to the village, the weight of their narrow escape hung heavy upon them. They knew that the demon's power far exceeded their expectations, and the task of defeating it seemed more daunting than ever before.
Arriving at the village square, they found the remaining survivors huddled together, their faces etched with fear and uncertainty. Jonathan knew that they needed a new plan, a strategy that would stand a chance against the demon's relentless onslaught.
Jonathan: "My friends, we have faced a grave defeat today. The demon's strength is beyond anything we have encountered before. But we cannot lose hope. We must unite once more and seek the wisdom of King Steven. Together, we will find a way to overcome this evil."
With renewed determination, Jonathan and Nolene and the others set out for the palace once more, their minds racing with thoughts of the impending battle ahead. Upon reaching the grand gates, they were ushered into the throne room, where King Steven awaited them with a grave expression upon his face.
King Steven: "Jonathan, Nolene, I have heard of the tragedy that befell our village. The demon's power is greater than we could have imagined."
Jonathan: "Yes, my King. We barely escaped with our lives. But we cannot allow fear to consume us. We must find a way to defeat this demon and protect our people."
King Steven nodded solemnly, his brow furrowed in deep contemplation.
King Steven: "I fear that our conventional methods of combat may not be enough to vanquish this creature. We must seek alternative means of power, something beyond the scope of mortal weaponry."
Jonathan and Nolene exchanged glances, recognizing the gravity of the situation. They knew that they needed to tap into forces beyond their understanding if they were to have any hope of standing against the demon.
Jonathan: "My King, what do you propose?"
King Steven rose from his throne, his eyes alight with a fierce determination.
King Steven: "There is an ancient temple hidden deep within the forests beyond our borders. Legend speaks of a source of power that lies dormant within its sacred halls. If we can harness this power, we may have a chance against the demon."
Jonathan and Nolene listened intently, their hearts pounding with anticipation. They knew that their journey would be perilous, but they also knew that it was their only hope of saving their village from destruction.
Jonathan: "We will go to the temple, my King. We will seek out this source of power and use it to defeat the demon once and for all."
King Steven nodded in agreement, his gaze unwavering.
King Steven: "Go forth, brave warriors. May the gods watch over you on your journey, and may you return victorious."
With the King's blessing, Jonathan and Nolene and the other warriors embarked on their quest, their minds set on the daunting task that lay ahead. As they ventured into the unknown, they knew that the fate of their village rested upon their shoulders, and they would stop at nothing to ensure its survival.
The names of those who embarked on the journey to seek the power to defeat the demon are Jonathan, Nolene, Desmond, Monday, Philip, Luke, Matthew, Wilfred, Chunks, and Immanuel.
Nolene was the only girl who went with them.
Jonathan asked her to stop following them, but Nolene refused. Initially, Nolene had said she would not follow them, but she didn't know the spirit that told her to follow them.
As they entered the forest, Jonathan said, "My fellow comrades, don't be afraid. I know the journey may be deadly, but the spirit of the NGODO community will guard us throughout our journey."
Desmond agreed, saying, "Yes, I believe it. They will guard us."
They began walking through the forest, searching for the temple.
As night fell, Jonathan suggested they rest there for the night and continue their journey the next day. They set up camp.
Nolene remarked to Jonathan, "The journey is not as easy as I thought."
Jonathan expressed regret at allowing her to follow and noted she was the only girl on the journey. Nolene remained determined, saying she would accept whatever came her way.
That same night, the demon attacked the NGODO community. Many villagers were still around when it arrived, and chaos ensued.
The demon attacked one villager, tearing him apart and drinking his blood, then sought out another victim, Jonathan's sister Grace.
When Grace encountered the demon while preparing food, she tried to run, but the demon killed her instantly.
Ten minutes later, Jonathan's mother, Florence, discovered Grace's body and began to cry, questioning why the demon had targeted them.
Jonathan's father, Samson, also reacted with anger, lamenting the loss of his daughter and calling out for Jonathan.
Meanwhile, unaware of the tragedy unfolding, Jonathan and Nolene slept together in the forest, with Jonathan keeping watch to protect her.
The following morning, they continued their journey. As Jonathan and Nolene continued their journey through the forest, the weight of their mission pressing heavily upon them, they remained unaware of the tragedy that had befallen their village overnight. With determination in their hearts, they pressed on, guided by the hope that they would find the ancient temple and the power it held within its sacred halls.
As they traversed deeper into the forest, the air thick with anticipation and uncertainty, Jonathan couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered within him. Despite his best efforts to remain focused on the task at hand, his thoughts kept drifting back to his village and the loved ones he had left behind.
Nolene, ever steadfast by his side, offered words of encouragement and support, her presence a source of strength in the face of adversity. Together, they pressed on, determined to see their quest through to the end.
As they journeyed deeper into the forest, the lush greenery giving way to the ancient, towering trees that marked the outskirts of the temple's domain, Jonathan felt a surge of anticipation course through him. They were drawing closer, he could feel it in his bones.
But just as they were on the cusp of reaching their destination, a sudden chill swept through the air, causing Jonathan to pause in his tracks. Something was amiss. He could sense it.
Nolene, sensing his unease, cast a concerned glance his way, her eyes searching his for answers. Without a word, Jonathan motioned for the others to halt, his senses on high alert as he scanned their surroundings for any sign of danger.
And then, from the depths of the forest, a guttural roar echoed through the trees, sending shivers down Jonathan's spine. The demon had found them.
With a fierce determination burning in his eyes, Jonathan drew his sword, ready to face whatever horrors awaited them. Beside him, Nolene stood tall and unwavering, her resolve unshakeable despite the looming threat.
As the demon emerged from the shadows, its twisted form bathed in the dappled light filtering through the trees, Jonathan knew that their true test had begun. With a battle cry on his lips, he charged forward, ready to confront the darkness head-on.
And so, amidst the ancient trees of the forest, Jonathan and Nolene and their companions faced off against the demon, their fate hanging in the balance as they fought for the survival of their village and the hope of a brighter tomorrow.
"They attacked the demon with all their might, but their weapons were too weak to kill it.
The demon rushed at Chucks, tearing him apart and drinking his blood.
Then, it used its fingers to attack Desmond, killing him.
When Jonathan realized they couldn't defeat the demon before reaching the temple where they sought power, he began shouting, 'Retreat, Retreat, Retreat.'
Grabbing Nolene's hand, Jonathan started running.
As they escaped the incident, they realized only four of the ten who embarked on the journey remained.
The demon killed Philip, Mathew, Luke, Chucks, Monday, and Desmond.
Those who survived were Jonathan, Nolene, Wilfred, and Immanuel.
Wilfred was not happy in that moment.
Wilfred: 'Are we sure we'll eventually kill this demon? It seems we can't defeat it.'
Jonathan: 'I'm scared, to be honest. I've never seen a demon like this before.'
Nolene: 'Why is this demon attacking our community? Did our community do something to provoke it? What did we do wrong?'
Jonathan: 'My gut tells me that at the end of this journey, we will prevail. Don't panic. I know we've lost most of our men in this quest to save our land, but it's as if it's meant to be, just like God wants it.'"
As the survivors walked through the thick forest, they felt sad and unsure. Jonathan, Nolene, Wilfred, and Immanuel kept going, even though they felt like they were surrounded by darkness.
Wilfred got really upset and said, "How many more of us have to get hurt before we give up? This demon is too strong!"
Jonathan looked worried and said, "I get your doubt, Wilfred, but we can't give up. We were chosen for a reason."
Immanuel, who usually didn't say much, spoke seriously, "But what if we're wrong? What if we're leading everyone into danger?"
Nolene looked determined and said, "We can't think about what might happen. We have to focus on beating this demon and keeping our people safe."
As they kept walking, the forest got darker, and it felt like there were scary things hiding around them. But they saw a faint light ahead—the temple where they hoped to find help.
Jonathan said firmly, "We keep going. No matter what, we'll face this demon and save our home."
Feeling more determined, they continued, remembering those who couldn't make it. Each step brought them closer to their destiny, but they didn't know the hardest parts were still ahead, testing their bravery in ways they never imagined."King Steven summoned his cabinets.
When all the cabinets had arrived,
King Steven: "My elders, I greet you all."
The cabinets responded.
King Steven: "What I want to tell you all is about what is happening in our community now.
King Steven: "What have we done to this demon that is killing our people? Look at our once peaceful and lovely community now turned into a killing field. Every day, we hear that someone has been killed by the demon.
King Steven: "Why has this calamity befallen our community? And those we sent to acquire power have not returned. We are not aware whether they are still alive or not.
King Steven: "My elders, I'm tired of all these things that are happening now. What are we going to do?"
Chief Joshua: "What is happening in our community now is a terrible thing that no one should pray for.
Chief Joshua: "This demon has caused more harm to our community. The villagers now live in fear because of the constant attacks.
Chief Joshua: "What's holding our men who went to the temple to seek power to use against the demon? They should come back in time before this demon finishes off all the villagers."
Chief Samuel: "Because of this demon, many people from other communities are making mockery of us. They say it's because of our sinful behavior that the demon is attacking the NGODO community.
Chief Samuel: "They say if not for our sinful behavior, why is the demon not attacking their own community? People are now mocking us, which is bad.
Chief Samuel: "Let's hope for the men we sent to acquire power from the temple in the forest."
King Steven: "God, please save our land."
After they finished their discussion, the King dismissed them.
On the same day, Jonathan's mother was seen crying and saying, "God, what have I done wrong to warrant all this loss? I have lost my daughter, and I have not seen my son Jonathan. Why me?" She cried throughout that day.
Meanwhile, Nolene's family became worried about their daughter. They asked, "Is Nolene still alive? What is holding her there inside the forest?"
Nolene's Mother: "I don't know why Nolene said that she wanted to follow those men and go inside the forest. What came over her is what I don't understand. Many people said that they are not going, but my daughter volunteered herself to go. God, please keep her safe for me. I still need her."
Inside the forest, when night fell, Jonathan said, "Let's camp here and sleep; tomorrow we continue." They camped under a big tree.
Nolene: "Jonathan, I'm having feelings for my family. I don't know if they are safe or not. I don't know what our community is going through now in the hands of the demon that is attacking us. I don't want to lose any of my family."
Jonathan: "Even me too, I don't want to lose any of them."
Nolene: "I pray they will be safe before we come back from this journey."
"I pray so," Jonathan backed her.
As they were still discussing in the forest, the demon appeared in their community that night. This time, the demon killed more people than before. It first attacked Nolene's family. When Nolene's father, Nwaike, went outside to urinate, the demon spotted him and decided to attack. It rushed toward him while he was still urinating, grabbed his neck, and tore his stomach open with its fingers. Nolene's father died instantly, and the demon drank his blood.
When Nolene's brother, Andrew, heard the cry, he rushed outside to see what was happening. Andrew saw the demon drinking his father's blood. He shouted and called his mother, saying, "The demon is here; everybody should run." The demon rushed toward Andrew and killed him instantly, drinking his blood as well.
Nolene's mother and her remaining brothers hid and ran. After the demon finished drinking Andrew's blood, it entered their house to check if there was anyone else to kill. Finding no one inside, the demon left the compound to attack more people. It attacked several more people that night.
In the morning, cries were heard from different directions. Almost everybody was crying that morning because of the deaths that befell their community. Everybody cried, including the King. The total number of those killed in the demon's attack last night was 15 people, including Nolene's father and brother."
As the sun rose over the grieving village of NGODO, King Steven convened an emergency meeting in the palace courtyard. The air was heavy with sorrow and fear as the villagers gathered, their eyes filled with anguish and uncertainty.
King Steven addressed the somber assembly, his voice resonating with a mixture of determination and despair. "My people, we stand on the brink of darkness. The demon that plagues our land has taken more lives, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake. Our hearts are heavy with sorrow, and our spirits are shaken by fear."
He paused, his gaze sweeping over the faces of his people, each one bearing the weight of loss and grief. "But we cannot succumb to despair. We must stand united against this threat, for it is only together that we can hope to overcome it."
Chief Joshua, his voice grave with concern, stepped forward to address the assembly. "We must find a way to confront this demon, to put an end to its reign of terror once and for all. Our warriors have gone to seek power, but time is running out. We cannot afford to wait any longer."
Chief Samuel nodded in agreement, his expression grim. "We must also address the whispers of doubt and mockery from neighboring communities. We cannot allow our faith to waver in the face of adversity. We must show strength and resilience in the darkest of times."
King Steven nodded, his jaw set with determination. "We will send word to our warriors, urging them to return with haste. But we must also prepare ourselves for the possibility that they may not return. We must be ready to face this demon, whatever the cost."
As the meeting drew to a close, the villagers dispersed, their hearts heavy with the weight of uncertainty. But amidst the sorrow and fear, there burned a spark of hope – a resolve to stand together in the face of darkness, to confront the demon that threatened to consume their world.
Meanwhile, deep within the forest, Jonathan and Nolene huddled together beneath the shelter of the towering trees, their hearts heavy with worry for their families and their village. As the night stretched on, they clung to each other, praying for the safety of their loved ones and the strength to face the challenges that lay ahead.
But as the darkness closed in around them, they could sense a gathering storm on the horizon – a reckoning that would test their courage and resilience to the very limit. And in the heart of the forest, amidst the whispering shadows and the eerie silence, the demon waited, its hunger for blood and destruction growing with each passing moment. When Jonathan, Nolene, Immanuel, and Wilfred were resting in one place:
Jonathan: "Nolene, this demonic creature has destroyed all of my plans."
Nolene: "What were your plans?"
Jonathan: "All I pray for now is for you to survive this journey to save our land. That's all I pray for now."
Nolene: "I pray the same. Nothing should happen to any of us."
Nolene: "We must find the temple in this forest, or we'll all perish here."
Nolene: "Saving our community is our top priority before anything else."
Jonathan: "Yes, I agree with you. Saving our community comes first."
Jonathan calls Immanuel and Andrew over.
Immanuel and Andrew approach.
Jonathan: "What I want to tell you guys is not to be afraid. God knows why He sent us on this mission. Sacrifice is part of everything."
Jonathan: "We are our community's last hope. We need to find this temple and acquire the power we came here for."
Jonathan: "I pray that God will be with us in any danger we face."
Immanuel: "I'm not afraid to die for my community. I've made up my mind to embark on this journey. I will see it through to the end, whether alive or dead. Saving our community comes first."
Andrew: "What else is there for me to fear? The demon has killed my only mother. That's why I volunteered for this mission."
Immanuel: "I've made up my mind for this mission. I stand for whatever will make the demon stop killing or enslaving us."
Nolene: "Good, that's the spirit we need. We must save our land."
Jonathan: "We need to start our journey."
As Jonathan and Nolene continued their journey through the dense forest, the weight of the tragedy that had befallen their village hung heavy in their hearts. Despite the overwhelming grief, they knew they had to press on in their quest to find the ancient temple and harness its power to defeat the demon.
As they trekked deeper into the forest, their resolve grew stronger with each step. They encountered various challenges along the way – treacherous terrain, hostile creatures, and mysterious obstacles that tested their courage and determination. But through it all, they remained united, drawing strength from their shared purpose and the bonds of friendship that bound them together.
Amidst the dangers of the forest, Nolene proved herself to be a valuable member of the group, her unwavering courage and resourcefulness earning her the respect of her fellow warriors. Despite Jonathan's initial reservations about her presence, he now found himself grateful for her steadfast companionship and support.
As they neared their destination, the air crackled with anticipation, tinged with a sense of foreboding. They could sense that they were drawing closer to the source of power they sought, but they also knew that the final leg of their journey would be the most perilous yet.
Finally, after days of arduous travel, they reached the entrance to the ancient temple, its weathered stone walls shrouded in mystery and intrigue. With a shared glance, they steeled themselves for the challenges that lay ahead and ventured inside, ready to confront whatever awaited them within.
Inside the temple, they encountered a series of trials – tests of strength, wisdom, and resolve designed to weed out the unworthy and grant access to those deemed worthy of the temple's secrets. Together, they faced each challenge head-on, drawing upon their individual strengths and the power of their collective unity to overcome every obstacle in their path.
At long last, they reached the inner sanctum of the temple, where they beheld the source of power they had sought – a radiant artifact of untold energy, pulsating with otherworldly power. With a solemn reverence, they approached the artifact, knowing that their village's fate hung in the balance.
As they reached out to touch the artifact, a blinding light engulfed them, filling their minds with visions of ancient prophecies and forgotten lore. In that moment of revelation, they understood the true nature of their quest and the role they were destined to play in the battle against the demon that threatened their home.
Armed with newfound knowledge and imbued with the power of the ancient artifact, they emerged from the temple ready to face their ultimate challenge. With hearts ablaze with determination and spirits unyielding in the face of adversity, they set out to confront the demon and banish the darkness that had plagued their land for far too long.
The fate of their village now rested in their hands, but they faced the future with unwavering resolve, knowing that as long as they stood together, they would emerge victorious against the forces of evil that sought to destroy them.
"They began returning with the power acquired from the temple. Their eyes were like lights. When they reached their village, everywhere was calm and tranquil.
Nolene: "Where are the villagers?"
Immanuel: "Let's go to the palace first."
Jonathan: "Yes, let's go there."
They started heading towards the palace.""When they reached the palace, they saw the remaining villagers living inside, due to the attack from the demon. Upon seeing Jonathan, Nolene, Immanuel, and Wilfred, they were overjoyed that their saviors had finally arrived.
Nolene's mother ran to her and said, 'Thank God for saving my daughter. I thought you had died in the process.'
Nolene asked, 'Where are my brothers and my father?'
Her brothers, Chizaram and Osita, came out to meet her. Nolene hugged them and inquired about her father and her remaining brother.
Her mother, Ademide, started crying. Nolene asked, 'Why are you crying? What happened?'
Osita replied, 'The demon killed our father and Andrew.'
Nolene collapsed and began crying.
Meanwhile, Jonathan searched for his own family. He saw his mother, father, and one sister. 'Where is Grace?' he asked, receiving no response.
'Why is everyone silent?' Jonathan demanded. 'I said, where is Grace?'
Mary replied, 'Grace has been killed by the demon.'
Jonathan cried out, 'Why? Why? Why?' His mother comforted him, saying, 'Jonathan, stop crying. It has already happened. We can't do anything now.'
Jonathan and Nolene vowed to kill the demon no matter what.
Approaching King Steven, Jonathan, Nolene, Immanuel, and Wilfred informed him, 'We have returned from the temple in the forest.'
King Steven inquired about the others.
Jonathan answered, 'My King, the demon attacked us in the forest and killed the remaining six people. We are the only survivors.'
King Steven acknowledged their bravery, saying, 'You have done a lot. Now, you must kill the demon. Attack it in the forest to defeat it.'
Nolene, still grieving, declared, 'We have heard you, my King. This demon has caused me so much pain. My father and brother are dead. I must avenge their deaths.'
Jonathan added, 'Yes, this demon must pay for the atrocities it has caused. We will kill it tonight.'
King Steven promised a reward upon their successful return, praying for their victory.
Jonathan urged, 'We must enter the forest before nightfall.'
Immanuel, Nolene, and Wilfred agreed.
Jonathan and Nolene reassured their families that they would return safely. Then, they ventured into the forest for the final battle against the demon.
This time, they followed the direction of the power they acquired from the temple. As they walked, they reached a place full of big trees.
Jonathan suggested, 'I think we're in the right place. Let's camp here and wait for the demon to appear.'
They set up camp and waited for the demon to show itself."
As darkness enveloped the forest, Jonathan, Nolene, Immanuel, and Wilfred prepared for their showdown with the demonic creature that had terrorized their land. Armed with the newfound power of the ancient artifact and fueled by their determination to protect their village, they steeled themselves for the battle ahead.
With the moon casting an eerie glow through the canopy of trees, they ventured deeper into the heart of the forest, following the trail of destruction left in the wake of the demon's rampage. As they moved cautiously through the shadows, they could feel the malevolent presence of their adversary lurking just beyond sight, waiting to strike.
Suddenly, a deafening roar shattered the silence of the night, sending chills down their spines. With adrenaline coursing through their veins, they readied their weapons and prepared to face their nemesis head-on.
As the demon emerged from the darkness, its monstrous form towering over them, Jonathan and his companions stood their ground, their resolve unshaken by the creature's terrifying visage. With a battle cry that echoed through the forest, they charged forward, their blades flashing in the moonlight as they unleashed a flurry of strikes against their foe.
The demon fought ferociously, its razor-sharp claws and searing breath posing a formidable challenge to their defenses. But fueled by their unwavering determination and the power of the ancient artifact coursing through their veins, they fought with all their might, refusing to back down in the face of overwhelming odds.
As the battle raged on, it became clear that victory would not come easily. The demon seemed to draw strength from the darkness itself, its resilience testing the limits of their endurance. But Jonathan and his companions refused to yield, their spirits unbroken despite the relentless onslaught.
In a moment of desperation, Nolene unleashed a powerful incantation, channeling the ancient magic of her ancestors to weaken the demon's defenses. Seizing the opportunity, Jonathan and the others launched a coordinated assault, their combined strength finally pushing the creature to the brink of defeat.
With a final, thunderous blow, the demon let out a spine-chilling shriek before dissipating into wisps of shadow, vanquished at last by the courage and determination of those who stood against it. As the echoes of battle faded into the night, Jonathan and his companions stood victorious, their village saved from the clutches of darkness once and for all.
But even as they celebrated their hard-won victory, they knew that their journey was far from over. With the threat of the demon vanquished, they now faced the daunting task of rebuilding their shattered community and ensuring that the darkness never returned to haunt their land again.
With the power of the ancient artifact still pulsing within them, Jonathan and his companions set out into the night, their hearts filled with hope for the future and their spirits unyielding in the face of whatever challenges lay ahead. For as long as they stood together, they knew that nothing could stand in their way.
As dawn broke over the forest, Jonathan, Nolene, Immanuel, and Wilfred emerged from the depths, weary but triumphant. The air was thick with the scent of victory, yet heavy with the weight of loss. They returned to the village, greeted by the grateful cheers of the remaining villagers, whose hope had been reignited by their bravery.
King Steven welcomed them back with open arms, his relief evident as he embraced each of them in turn. "You have saved us all," he declared, his voice ringing with gratitude. "Our village owes you a debt that can never be repaid."
But amidst the celebrations, there lingered a somber undercurrent of mourning for those who had been lost to the demon's wrath. Jonathan and Nolene found solace in each other's company, their shared grief serving as a reminder of the bond that had grown between them throughout their ordeal.
As the days passed, life in the village began to return to normalcy, albeit with scars that would never fully heal. Jonathan, Nolene, Immanuel, and Wilfred took it upon themselves to aid in the rebuilding efforts, their determination to honor the memory of their fallen loved ones driving them forward.
Yet, even as they worked tirelessly to restore their home to its former glory, whispers of darkness still lingered on the edges of their consciousness. Rumors spread of other villages falling victim to similar attacks, their inhabitants consumed by fear and despair.
Determined to prevent history from repeating itself, Jonathan and his companions embarked on a quest to uncover the truth behind the demon's origins and put an end to its reign of terror once and for all. Armed with the knowledge they had gained from their encounter in the forest, they set out into the unknown, their resolve unshakable in the face of the unknown.
As they journeyed across distant lands and faced countless trials, their bond grew stronger with each passing day. Together, they faced the darkness head-on, their courage and determination serving as a beacon of hope for all who crossed their path.
And though their quest was fraught with danger and uncertainty, they knew that as long as they stood united, they would emerge victorious in the end. For theirs was a bond forged in the fires of adversity, a bond that would endure even in the darkest of times. And with every step they took, they moved one step closer to uncovering the truth behind the demon's malevolent presence and restoring peace to the land once and for all.
As Jonathan, Nolene, Immanuel, and Wilfred delved deeper into their quest to uncover the truth behind the demon's origins, they encountered whispers of a mysterious cult rumored to be behind the recent spate of attacks on villages. Determined to unravel the truth, they set out to investigate these rumors, their resolve unwavering despite the dangers that lay ahead.
Their journey led them to a secluded village nestled deep in the heart of the forest, where they discovered signs of dark rituals and sinister gatherings. Sensing they were on the right path, they infiltrated the cult's inner circle, risking life and limb to gather information that could lead them to the mastermind behind the demon's reign of terror.
But as they delved deeper into the cult's activities, doubts began to creep into their minds. Were they truly on the right path, or were they merely chasing shadows? The weight of their mission bore down on them, threatening to fracture the bonds that had held them together thus far.
In the midst of their uncertainty, a betrayal rocked their group to its core, shaking their faith in each other and leaving them vulnerable to the machinations of their enemies. With tensions running high and trust in short supply, Jonathan and his companions found themselves facing their greatest challenge yet: to overcome their doubts and stand united in the face of adversity.
As they raced against time to uncover the truth and thwart the cult's plans, they were forced to confront their own inner demons, grappling with doubts and fears that threatened to consume them from within. But through sheer determination and unwavering loyalty to one another, they forged ahead, their bond stronger than ever in the face of adversity.
In the end, it was their unity that proved to be their greatest strength, allowing them to emerge victorious against the odds and uncover the true mastermind behind the demon's reign of terror. With their mission accomplished, they returned to their village, weary but triumphant.
"When they arrived at the village, King Steven divided the community's wealth and gave it to Jonathan, Nolene, Immanuel, and Wilfred, thanking them for saving the community. Jonathan, Nolene, Immanuel, and Wilfred thanked the King and went to their respective homes.
Normalcy returned to the village once more.
The following day, Jonathan visited Nolene. When he reached her house, Nolene was with her mother and brothers. Jonathan knocked at the door.
Nolene: "Who is it?"
Jonathan: "It's me, Jonathan."
Nolene: "Come inside."
Jonathan entered and greeted Nolene's mother before sitting down.
Nolene: "How are you?"
Jonathan: "I'm good. I want to ask you something in front of your mother."
Nolene: "What is it?"
Jonathan reached into his pocket and brought out a ring.
Jonathan: "Nolene, will you marry me?"
Nolene was surprised and shocked at the same time.
Nolene: "Why not? I will marry you."
Jonathan was happy. He put the ring on Nolene's finger, and she hugged him, saying she had been waiting for this day. Nolene's mother expressed her happiness and support for their marriage.
Jonathan: "Thank you, Mom. Nolene, let's go to my place."
Nolene: "Let's go."
Nolene informed her mother that she would be back and then left with Jonathan.
When they reached Jonathan's house, his father, mother, and sister were there. They greeted Nolene, and after sitting down, Jonathan expressed his desire to marry her. His parents supported his decision.
Jonathan: "Nolene, let's go to my room."
In the room, Jonathan proposed fixing a date for their traditional marriage and inviting everyone, including the King and villagers, to celebrate their union.
Nolene agreed eagerly, grateful they had survived the ordeal with the demons.
Jonathan expressed his happiness at being able to marry her despite the challenges they faced.
Nolene reciprocated his feelings, and they kissed passionately. Afterward, they made love, enjoying each other's company.
Afterward, they discussed setting a date for their wedding, and Nolene left, promising to see Jonathan the next day.
Jonathan was overjoyed at the prospect of marrying Nolene."
As the sun rose over the tranquil village, Jonathan woke up with a sense of excitement tingling in his veins. Today was the day they would begin planning their wedding with Nolene. He quickly got ready and headed out to meet her.
Upon reaching Nolene's house, Jonathan found her already bustling with energy, organizing her thoughts and ideas for the big day.
Jonathan: "Good morning, my love."
Nolene smiled brightly at him, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.
Nolene: "Good morning, Jonathan. I've been thinking about our wedding all night."
Jonathan: "Me too. I can't wait to start planning."
Together, they spent the morning discussing various details – from the venue and decorations to the guest list and menu. They wanted their wedding to be a celebration of love and unity, reflecting the strength of their bond and the resilience of their village.
As they delved deeper into the planning process, they realized there was much to consider. They sought advice from their families and elders, drawing upon their wisdom and experience to ensure every aspect of the wedding was perfect.
With each decision made, Jonathan and Nolene felt their love for each other grow stronger. They knew that their union was not just about themselves but also about bringing joy and hope to their community.
After hours of deliberation and laughter, they finally settled on a date for the traditional ceremony and began sending out invitations to their loved ones. The excitement in the village was palpable as word spread about Jonathan and Nolene's upcoming wedding.
As the day drew to a close, Jonathan and Nolene embraced each other, filled with gratitude for the journey they had taken together and the love that had brought them to this moment.
Jonathan: "I can't wait to marry you, Nolene."
Nolene: "And I can't wait to be your wife, Jonathan."
With their hearts full of love and anticipation, they shared a tender kiss, knowing that their wedding would not only mark the beginning of their life together but also the start of a new chapter for their village.
The day of Jonathan and Nolene's traditional marriage dawned bright and clear, the air filled with anticipation and joy. The entire village came together to celebrate the union of the two brave souls who had faced down demons and emerged victorious.
The festivities began with a grand procession through the village streets, with Jonathan and Nolene leading the way, adorned in traditional attire and beaming with happiness. The villagers cheered and danced in celebration, their spirits lifted by the joyous occasion.
As the day progressed, the village square was transformed into a colorful spectacle, with vibrant decorations and mouthwatering feasts laid out for all to enjoy. Musicians played lively tunes, and dancers twirled gracefully to the rhythm, filling the air with laughter and merriment.
Amidst the celebrations, King Steven stood proudly beside Jonathan and Nolene, offering his blessings and well wishes for their future together. He spoke of their bravery and resilience in the face of adversity, and the importance of love and unity in overcoming life's challenges.
As the sun began to set, the village elder led Jonathan and Nolene through the traditional marriage rites, solemnizing their union before their families and friends. They exchanged vows of love and commitment, promising to stand by each other through thick and thin, in sickness and in health.
With tears of joy in their eyes, Jonathan and Nolene sealed their marriage with a kiss, surrounded by the warmth and love of their community. And as the night sky lit up with stars, the newlyweds danced under the moonlight, lost in each other's embrace, their hearts overflowing with happiness and gratitude.
For Jonathan and Nolene, their journey had come full circle, from the depths of darkness to the heights of love and happiness. And as they embarked on this new chapter of their lives together, they knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, as long as they stood united, they could overcome anything that came their way.
"Jonathan and Nolene live a happy married life. The villagers live peacefully. They later forget about what happened to their community, about the demon. The NGODO community later becomes as peaceful as it used to be."
