THE CURSED HIGH SCHOOL 🙀

Episode 1

   St Mario high school was covered in thick fog in the dark.Students were running helter skelter as they seemed devastated by the fog.

No one knew how the fog spread round the school, it was everywhere even in the closet.Everywhere was pitch dark,none had a hint of what was happening, the only thing they could do was scream,obviously because of the unknown.

   After few minutes of screaming and wandering back and forth in the school, the fog cleared and everywhere lighted up.

   Immediately, everywhere became calm just like a graveyard.It was only the hooting of owls that were heard.No body was able to fathom what happened that night.......

   St Mario high school was one of the best school in the world.Not only was it famed for its perfect environment but also,it houses the best scholars in the world.Being a student of St Mario high school was the dream of every young student, typically an achievement.

   It was summer!!!

A bright day at St Mario high school, Genevieve was lost in the beauty of the school, it seemed she was daydreaming but she wasn't.She had heard a lot about St Mario high school back in Washington DC where she once lived and had wished to become one of the scholars in the best school in the whole wide world.

   Her family had just relocated from Washington DC to London, where the great St Mario school was erected.

   "You have to be of your best behavior here in this prestigious school Genevieve."Mr Smith said to his daughter as they walked into the school.

   "Gene! Gene!! Genevieve!!!"He got when there was no response.He looked beside him but couldn't see her.

   "Genevieve...."he called again and turned back only to see her gawping at the greenhouse.

   "Genevieve!!!"he called,this time, he was very loud and audible.

   "Dad!!"she replied as she quickly rushed to meet her father who was ahead of her.

   "Sorry dad, I was only admiring the school and nothing more, this school is really awesome dad, i'm already in love with it."Genevieve said as she walked beside her dad.

   "Really!? i'm happy you love the school Gene, please....."Mr Smith paused and held her hands so softly.

   "I have to go now Genevieve, please take good care of yourself, don't hesitate to contact me if there's anything you need okay?"Mr Smith said and Genevieve nodded slowly.

   "I'll miss you Dad."

   "I'll miss you too sweetheart, come here."he said and he drew her closer and hugged her passionately.

"Bye dad."she said and her dad winked at her.Mr Smith watched his daughter as she made her way towards the entrance.

   Mr Smith smiled and was about to leave when he heard her scream,"Gene!!..."he called as he rushed to meet her.

   "What's wrong?"he asked curiously, he noticed blood gushing from her fingers.

   "You had a cut?"he queried as he reached for a plaster _like material from his pocket.

   "No.I was just walking when I saw blood gushing off my fingers, it's strange because I can't remember having a cut."

Mr Smith sighed after he covered the cut,"you have to be very careful Genevieve."Mr Smith said and she nodded and went in...

   "I'm really confused Clara, I don't understand what happened last night, it was a fog."Genevieve heard one of the students speaking as she walked into the classroom.

   "How did it get into our school?I mean it was everywhere, even in the closet, I wonder how it got into the closets."Clara said

   Genevieve never knew what they were talking about,she walked quietly to a desk which had the inscription of her name on it.She dropped her bag in her locker and brought out a pamphlet to read.

   "Hello"she heard someone's voice behind her but wasn't sure if the person was actually referring to her.

   "Excuse me,my name is Roland, you're a fresher I guess."a tall handsome student said with his hands in his pockets.

   "Of course i'm a fresher,my name is Genevieve but you can call me Gene for short."She said with enough fortitude she could muster.

   "Nice to meet you Genevieve,do you mind if I walk with you to your hostel?"

   "But the lectures will begin in some minutes time, after all I don't even know my hostel, i'm just coming."

   "Then where are your luggages?"Roland asked.

   "I dropped them in the dormitory."she simply said.

   "I think it's a good idea to show you your room,you should have some rest Genevieve,at least, only for today.Shall we?"he said as he motioned for her to follow him.

   "Er.... okay let's go."Genevieve said nervously and she stood up and followed Roland.

   "The News is everywhere in school Tahma,the fog.I've never seen that before,it was everywhere in school."

   "Talking about the strange sounds, i've never heard such sounds, everything seemed to be a dream.It's......"Tahma was speaking when the door was flung open and Roland walked in with Genevieve in tow.

   "OMG!! Look who we have here, Roland!!!!"Melissa said as they both sprang to their feet.

   "It's an honor to have you here."Tahma said happily.

   "Thank you.You have a new roommate, her name is Genevieve."Roland introduced.

   "Roommate!!?"They both chorused.

   "But we're not expecting any roommate, the school rules states that each room must contain a maximum of two students."Tahma said.

   "But she was directed here,so you ought to accept her and be friendly towards her, she's my friend so you will do me the favor of being friendly if you really like me."Roland said.

   "Of course we do,"they almost chorused.

   "I'm Tahma and this is my friend, also our roommate,her name is Melissa."Tahma said.

  "Hi,nice to see you, you're welcome."Melissa waved.

   "Thank you girls,for accepting me."she said sheepishly.

   "So I will......"

   "Wait a minute Roland,can we please take pictures before you leave?"Melissa suggested.

   "Um . ... I don't think so,the truth is, I don't take pictures."

   "Owww that's very good Roland, thank you once again for coming into our room."

   "You're welcome,bye Genevieve, have a nice day."Roland said.

   "Bye...."she waved effortlessly.

   "Wait a second,"Melissa said and all eyes fell on her.

   "What's that tattoo on your fingers? it's so scary!demons!!"She said and Genevieve just like the others looked at her fingers.She was shocked and frightened when she saw the marks on her fingers.

   "What are you?"Tahma asked as both of them moved away from her.

   "I don't... I..."she stuttered as her fingers started shaking rapidly.

   "It's diabolic...."Melissa added in terrør.

   "What's happening to me???"She asked rhetorically as blood flowed from her fingers.

   Suddenly, she screamed and slumped........

Episode 2

   Roland was the first person Genevieve saw when she opened her eyes.

   "What happened?"she muttered as she turned her head.

   "You're fine Genevieve, relax."Roland said as he touched her head.

   "You shouldn't go close to her Roland,she might hurt you."Tahma said as she and Melissa stood far away from them.

   "What happened to me?"Genevieve muttered again.

   "I trust you Genevieve, you're not a bad person,but your fingers,the tattoos,they are diabolic."Roland said.

   "I know nothing about the tattoos Roland, I saw blood gushing out of my fingers just when I entered the school.I am even more surprise with this filthy marks on my fingers, trust me Roland, I know nothing about this."She said innocently.

   "Don't believe her Roland, she cannot be trusted, she's a total stranger sent to kill us."

   "No i'm not...."Genevieve said as she sat up.

   "I'm innocent, I don't know what is actually going on, i'm devastated just as you are."Genevieve said at the verge of tears.

   "I trust her girls, she won't hurt us,but the tattoos..."he paused and glanced at her fingers again,"it's so strange."

   "I'm beginning to regret ever coming to this school,this is my first day and i'm experiencing all of these nasty things."Genevieve said with pangs of regret in her voice.

   "You don't have to regret Genevieve, everything will be fine, you never made the wrong decision, St Mario high school is the best and will always be the best regardless of any circumstances.Any way, i'm sorry you're experiencing this on your first day."Roland said.

   "You're apologizing to her!??"Tahma asked in surprise.

   "We have to unravel the mystery of those tattoos."Roland said as he kept staring at the tattoos on her fingers.

   "We!? Hope you're not referring to us."Melissa chipped in on hearing what Roland said.

He sighed and stood up..

   "She's your roommate now,we all need to help her, she's completely ignorant of those marks on her fingers.One more thing, nobody must hear about these tattoos, it should be our little secret ."

   "Are you for real!? You just met her Roland and you're doing all this for her."Tahma said.

   "Nevermind!,"he said and turned to Genevieve,"put on gloves Genevieve and come with us."Roland said and was leaving when Genevieve called his attention.

   "Where are we going?"she inquired.

   "Professor Albert,he should know something about this."he said and walked away with the girls behind him....

   Professor Albert office had his name on his door.His office was spacious but nearly occupied.

Each corners had piles of books and equipments sequentially in order on cabinets.

   Professor Albert, dressed in his usual outfit of a white shirt tucked into his baggy trouser was configuring a map when Liam barged in.

   Liam was the only son of the director (of St Mario high school).He was a proud and pompous Adonis who uses his affluence to get what he want.He had no friend in high school because all other students seemed inferior.His pompous and luxurious lifestyle earned him great recognition and respect.Both teachers and students respected him like he was a semi god which he claimed to be, because of his father's wealth.

   "You should always knock before coming into a professor's office."professor Albert said as Liam gallantly walked towards him.

   "I don't need to knock before coming in professor."he said as he sat boldly on professor Albert's seat.

   "What do you think you're doing Liam?do you realize you're sitting on a professor's seat?"

   "And so? It mean nothing to me okay? After all you've been sitting on a rock,this seat is far from being comfy."he said and shrugged his shoulders.

   "Why are you here Liam?"professor Albert asked as he swallowed his anger.

   "The test grade.You and I know that I performed so badly in that test, so you have to upgrade my poor grade to the top grade."

   "Top grade!!? What are you saying Liam?you can't possibly achieve the top grade.There are fifty top students presently in your session, I know it,you know it, likewise everybody and nothing changes that Liam,you better come off it."professor Albert almost exclaimed and chuckled.

   "There's nothing wrong if I become one of them professor.Od course you know how famous I am in this great St Mario school likewise the country.I am the future of this school,do you want to know what will happen if I come out with poor grade?"he said and stood up, walking round professor Albert.

"I will be ridiculed, people will....."Liam stopped speaking when he heard a knock on the door.

   "Come in"the professor said and Roland walked in with the girls.

   "Gooday professor Albert."Roland greeted while Tahma and Melissa gasped when they saw Liam.

   "Liam!?"they chorused with a broad smile.

   "Hello dude."Roland said to Liam but he snubbed them all.

   "And what's the meaning of that? It's actually against the norms to barge in here to display your nonchalant attitude."

   "But....."

   "Hey you!!you don't dare utter a word while i'm talking."he interrupted Genevieve when she tried to speak.

   "We're sorry."Tahma and Melissa apologized.

   "Nincompoops!!!"he said and walked away.

   "What's the meaning of that? he's so bøorish."Genevieve said after the door was slammed shut.

   "It's normal, that's how he is, pompous from birth."Tahma said.

   "You're kidding me right!?"

   "I bet you're meeting him for the first time Genevieve,he is the future of this great school,the son of our director."Melissa said

   "That's not enough reason for him to treat us in such manner, we're all the same irrespective of our individual statues."Genevieve said.

   "You can go tell him that, meanwhile,you must have dug your grave before attempting that manner of suicide."Melissa said sarcastically and they both (Tahma) laughed.

   "Professor we really need your help."Roland said and he motioned for Genevieve to come forward.

   Genevieve walked towards them and removed her gloves.

   "She's a fresher prof, those tattoos appeared on her fingers immediately she stepped into the school today."

Professor Albert gasped when he saw the tattoos.

   "These tattoos..... I think i've seen them before..in a book."he said as he tried to recall where he had seen it.

He brought out an ancient book hidden under a locker.He flipped through the pages and eventually saw the same tattoos.

   "Here is it."he said and they all gathered around it.

   "These tattoos are strange,the tattoos are cursed marks."

   "Cursed!!!?"the four of them chorused.

   "I don't understand..."Genevieve said.

   "This is all I can say,now I know the reason for the fogs last night."professor Albert said.

   "Is there something you're not telling us prof?"Roland asked.

   "This is all I can say Roland,Morgana should know more about this mystery which is difficult to unravel."

   "Morgana!! Who's Morgana?"Genevieve queried in confusion.

   "Come with me, I think I know who he's referring to.."Roland said and was about to leave with them when professor Albert stopped him.

   "You all must be careful, nobody must find out about those tattoos, it's a cursed mark.Be fast with your findings and get back to me after you've met with Morgana.I'll be waiting..."he said and Roland nodded his head and left with them.

   "I can't believe this is happening!? I've seen this in an ancient book, I can't believe it's really coming to past.I can't let those kids know the truth,Never!!!"

Episode 5

   She shivered in fear when she saw the director right in front of her.

   "Er .... I... I...."she stuttered unable to utter a word.

   "What are you doing in my office?"he asked almost in a coo voice.

   "I.... I....."

   "Put yourself together young lady."he said.

   "I was only passing by when I saw your door, it's too beautiful and I couldn't resist it.I'm a fresher,this is my first time here so I never knew this place was your office."Genevieve said.

   "What brought you into the admin chamber in the first place?"

   "I ..I followed a friend...yes."She said nervously.

   "That's no good reason for your arrant behavior young lady.."he almost barked.

   "Actually, I also came to inform Mr Arthur of my interest in artworks."She said feigning a sheepish smile.

   "Artworks!!!?"

   "Yes director."She said as she bowed her head slightly.

   "Then I believe you should be an artist before showing interest in artworks."

   "Um...yeah,of course, i'm an artist, I draw and paint portraits, i'm really good in what I do."she said thoughtlessly.

   "Dad I....."Liam said as he opened the door but stopped abruptly when he saw Genevieve.

   "You!?"he exclaimed as he walked further into the director's office.

   "What are you doing here??"he queried.

   "Er.... nevermind!!I'm sorry director, I gat to go, i'm having lectures."she said as she felt a lump rise in her throat.

   "Not so fast young lady,this is my son Liam, I bet you know him already."

   "Of course she should know me."Liam said as he dipped his hands into his pocket with an air of importance.

Director Kim chuckled and nodded his head.

   "By the way,you said you're good in artworks right?"

   "Yes director."she said nervously.

   "Thank goodness you're here Liam,this young lady will go with you to our home."director Kim said.

   "What!?"Liam exclaimed with his eyes wide opened while Genevieve opened her mouth in a great big surprise.

   "Why should a pauper like her,go with me to our residence,I mean; first, she's not worthy to walk with a star like me.Secondly, someone like her shouldn't be seen in our edifice."Liam said with pride.

   "She's going with you Liam."

   "To do what exactly?"Genevieve muttered enough fortitude to ask such question.

   "You're an artist, there's a portrait I need you to design in my room.a classic still life drawing to be precise."

   "We could get someone else to do it dad,not a common student like her."

   "I insist Liam."

   "My car keys,you took them from me."

   "Here."The director said and he handed the keys over to him."

   "Here....."the director said and he handed the keys over to him.

He groaned and left with Genevieve behind him who  like a remote control.

   "Hey... you've been quiet since you started driving the car and I believe you know i'm bored."Genevieve said from where she sat just behind Liam who was driving.

Liam chuckled and shook his head without uttering a word.

   "Anyway, i'm Genevieve Smith and it's obvious you're Liam."

   "I never asked for your name so I will love it if you keep your mouth shut."he said as he kept driving.

   "Ain't you going to talk to me,at least just a chit chat."Genevieve pestered.

   "You're trying to make me talk to you and that's basically an accomplishment which you can't possibly accomplish."he said rudely.

   "WTF!!Are you for real?! You're more boorish than I thought.You ought to accord me respect because i'm going to do a job for you."

   "Definitely not me because I can never give someone like you,a job to do.I'd better give it to my little, fluffy terrier than a desperate bïtch like you."

Genevieve groaned and gnashed her teeth in anger when she heard this.

   "Don't ever try what you just did because you almost looked like my grandpa's bullock back then in Johannesburg."Liam said and he smirked.

   "Enough of that chap, i'm fed up with those nasty words of yours.I can just step out of this car without doing the portrait,you know that."Genevieve said.To her uttermost surprise, Liam stopped the car.

   "Why did you stop the car?"she asked as turned her head to see the place he had parked his car.

   "You wanted to leave, isn't it?"he said mockingly.

   "But......"

Before she could finish speaking, Liam drove off.

   "I only moved the car because the portrait is very important to my father."

   "No no....you can't lie to me.You drove the car because you were afraid of your father's reaction."Genevieve said.

   "Certainly not."

   "Yes...."

   "No..."

In no time,a bickering ensued as he drove his car away......

   "Thank you so much Roland!!I wouldn't have completed the project  so easily without you."The principal, Mr Arthur said as they walked down the stairs.

   "You don't have to thank me sir, it's my responsibility."Roland said.

   "No it's not.You should get some rest Roland."

   "Yes principal, I'll leave now."Roland said and was leaving when Mr Arthur called him back.

   "I'm meaning to ask you this question Roland, the fog! doesn't it seems strange."

   "You mean what happened last night???"Roland asked and shook his head.,"Besides, I should be asking you that question, you're the head."

   "Nevermind Roland,forget about it,you can leave."Mr Arthur dismissed him.

   "Thank you Mr Arthur."he said as he bowed his head lightly and left.

   Roland heaved a sigh of relief immediately he came out of Mr Arthur's office.He tiptoed quietly towards the director's office and went in,he saw no one,the office was absolutely empty.He nodded his head and was about to search for the book when he heard strange voices.

   "Someone with the cursed tattoos is presently in the great St Mario high school,her presence is ruining our plans and you have to do something about it."a deep voice blunted out.

   "The cursed tattoos!?I thought it was just a myth, I thought it never existed."

   "You must bring the person to us before the powers of the cursed tattoos grows.Of course you know what will happen if the person is not found."the strange voice said.

   "There are multitudes of students in this school,how do I fish the person out?"he heard the director said. 

   "You should sort it out yourself, remember,you must bring the person to us else,you know what will happen if you don't......"the voice said and vanished.

   "Genevieve...... Roland e muttered as he quietly dashed out of his office in terrør

Episode 8

   Roland was in the library with Mrs Morgana when Genevieve entered.

   "How did it go Genevieve,did you find the book?"Roland asked as she walked in.

Genevieve shook her head in response.

   "Why?Was he in the office before you?"Morgana asked.

   "No...he wasn't in the office, I went earlier as planned."

   "Then????????"

   "I searched everywhere, I checked every nook and cranny of his office but it was not there."

   "Are you sure of what you're saying Genevieve?"Roland asked.

   "Yes, i'm sure, it's not there, that book is not in his office."

   "OMG!! What are we going to do Mrs Morgana?We don't understand what's happening neither do we know what's going to happen."Roland lamented.

   "I don't know anymore, i'm literally confused just as you are."Mrs Morgana said as she paced back and forth the library in thought.

"I can be in danger, I don't know what is actually happening to me, the director might be right, the cursed tattoos might be dangerous to me.If there's nothing we can do, then, I think I need to expose myself, perhaps,he might have a good motive, he's a gentleman."

   "You wanna do this?"Morgana asked.

   "Yes..... I should expose myself."Genevieve replied as she nodded her head.

   "No.... you can't expose yourself just like that Genevieve, don't judge a book by its cover.The director might not be the gentleman you think he is."Roland said.

   "Are you saying the director has a bad motive???"she asked.

   "Yes....no.... I don't know.But I don't think it's right telling him the truth.We can still find that book, trust me."Roland said as he placed his hand on his chest.

   "But I can be in danger......"

   "And you can also be in danger if you tell him the truth."Roland said.

   "He's still going to find out."she said and smacked her lips.

   "What makes you think so??"

   "I'll be tutoring Liam in his home."She dropped the bombshell.

   "What!? why!?"

   "I really can't tell.He commended the paintings I did and so he wants me to teach Liam."

   "He's up to something I guess.You won't do it."Roland said authoritatively.

   "Nobody ever dare flaunt the orders of the director,she must do it in as much as she's in the school.He must have mentioned a reward right?"Morgana said.

   "Yes....He talked about scholarship but.....I have this feeling that he will discover the cursed tattoos."

   "You have to talk to him Mrs Morgana, Genevieve can't possibly do it."

   "She should do it.Tutoring Liam means getting closer to the family and the house entirely....."

   "Which definitely pose a greater risks of exposing the cursed tattoos."Roland interrupted.

   "Yes, but also an opportunity of finding the book.Remember, that book is all we need so we have to get it."Mrs Morgana said.

   "Okay.I understand, it's a good idea after all,but you must be very careful Genevieve.."

   "Yes I will."Genevieve said as she nodded her head.

   Liam watched Genevieve with interest as she made a painting.He watched her with keen interest as she kept speaking, thinking Liam was paying attention.

   "What are you doing?"Genevieve asked curiously when she noticed Liam was staring at her.

   "Nothing, I was only staring at you and nothing more."Liam said.

   "Why would you stare at me instead of the paintings?"she asked as she walked towards him.

   "You're not looking bad after all."he said as he nodded his head with satisfaction.

Genevieve turned back to see if he was actually talking to someone else.

   "Do you just tell me that?"she asked as she held her chest.

   "Sure.I did."he said and chuckled.

   "Remember I'm your tutor,you shouldn't be as rude as you've always been.You can pick up that bøorish attitude when we get to school, but here, it's a capital no.I'm your tutor and you have to accord me that respect."Genevieve said.

   "What's the need of a tutor when there's no learner or student? You have to beg me to listen to you else I won't."he said and rolled his eyeballs.

   "You're joking, ain't you?"

   "Joking!?You are not good in artwork,just take a look at your paintings, oops...so terrible."Liam said as he seemed irritated by her paintings.

   "Hey Liam or whatever you call yourself, i'm your tutor, you have to respect that fact."

   "You're of no use here Genevieve,tell my dad bluntly that you're not interested in this.Gosh! What will my fans say when they eventually finds out that I'm having a student just like me as a tutor?"he said rhetorically.

   "Do you just call me Genevieve?"

   "Yes I did,is anything wrong with that?"

   "Point of correction,you should address me as mhiz Genevieve because i'm your tutor.You can call me by my name when we're in......."Genevieve was speaking when Liam burst out laughing...

   "Did I say anything funny?"she asked with a puzzled expression on her face.

   "Are you asking me that?Do you know what? This is the end of lesson."Liam said and he snatched the paint brush from her and ran away.

   "Hey.... come back....."she shouted but Liam didn't turn to look back.

   "Dummy!!!"she muttered to herself and went after him....

   Genevieve had a hectic day back in the director's house.She trudged into her room in school and threw her bag on her bed.

   "It was hectic I guess.."Melissa said when she saw Genevieve walked in.

   "Absolutely..."she muttered as she took off her gloves in order to wash her hands.

   "I can't believe you're tutoring Liam,the almighty Liam."Melissa said but Genevieve hear what she said.She was washing her hands and face with water from the faucet.

   "What are you? you're driving me crazy.What are you doing on my fingers? Please go away."she muttered to herself as she looked at her fingers.She shook her head and walked back into the room.

   "What's that???"Melissa's friend who had walked in earlier exclaimed when she saw the cursed tattoos.

Genevieve quickly fumbled for her gloves and wore it.

   "It's......."

   "The cursed tattoos..no...the director must hear about this."she said and quickly dashed off the room even before they could stop her.

Episode 10

   "Genevieve!!!"Roland called as he rushed into the library with Melissa and Tahma behind him.

   "What has gone wrong again? What's happening?"Morgana asked as she walked towards them.

   "The director is fully aware that Genevieve is having the cursed tattoos."Roland dropped the shocking piece of news.

   "What!? When!? How!?"Morgana exclaimed as the book she was holding dropped.

   "It's my friend Loretta, I believe she told the director."

   "Your friend!?How did she find out?"

   "She came to my room to get a book and then boom, Genevieve walked in with her bare hands."Melissa narrated.

   "Why did she take off the gloves?"

   "She wanted to wash her hands."Tahma replied.

   "Genevieve is in deep trouble right now, she have to move away from school this instant."Roland said.

   "The director and the securities are looking everywhere for Genevieve.I don't think he has a good intention,his expression expressed his mindset."Tahma said.

   "The question here is Genevieve, she's too careless and I abhor that."Morgana said and snapped her fingers.

   "I tried calling her but she's not picking the calls."Tahma said.

   "You've texted her?"

   "I did."Tahma simply replied.

   "Same here but same futile result.We have to find Genevieve before the securities do."Roland said.

   Just then,they heard voices outside so they all rushed towards the glassy window to see what was going on.

   "Check the top floor in her hostel,you might find her there."

   "Check every nook and cranny of the hostel, she musn't escape."

   "The libraries, laboratories and sport center are not exceptional,check everywhere you can as ordered by the director."The head of the security was ordering the others as they swung into action.

   "This is more serious than we thought.."Melissa said

   "The director must be up to something terrible, I can sense it."Tahma added.

   "Of course he is.I heard everything he said while I was searching for the book in his office.If he eventually takes Genevieve,he will be sacrificing her to someone... I heard their conversation so clearly."

   "Sacrifice!? Are you trying to say that the director is in the illuminati.."Tahma asked.

   "Probably... i'm not certain.."Roland said.

   "Me either..."Tahma added and she left with Roland behind her leaving Mrs Morgana in distress.

   Genevieve smiled cheerfully after she dipped the Marconi cheese in her mouth.

   "I guess you love the food."Liam said when he saw her smiling.

   "Yes I do,how did you know this was my favorite?"she asked rhetorically.

   "Mere coincidence if I should say."Liam said and he sipped a glass of wine.

   "You shouldn't have brought me here Liam after buying a new set of stilettos, you've done enough already.genevive said.

   "It's my pleasure Genevieve, I haven't really done enough."

   "You're kinda nice, hope it's not what i'm thinking... chivalrous ness."

Liam chuckled and shook his head,he stared at Genevieve for a moment and chuckled again.

   "What makes you think i'm chivalrous?"he asked.

   "Because this is unlike you,for the past few days,you were absolutely rude, thinking of others as inferior."Genevieve said.

   "That is because I was made to believe that i'm superior to every other person."

   "By who?"

   "My father, the director.He made me believe friends are not worth it,he changed my idealogy totally about people, I was supposed to be worshipped by every other students because i'm the heir to the great St Mario high school;my father once said."

   "I can say you and your dad are alike in some way, your dad seems to be nice, I never knew he had this touch of imperfection."

   "Really!?"

   "Uh huh...."

   "Um... can we be friends,both of us...."he said nervously.

   "Why do we need to be friends? I'm sorry I can't be your friend."she said to his chagrin.

   "Why?"he asked as his face fell.

   "Because i'm your tutor,you will be disrespectful if I become your friend.Anyway, we're friends already, just friends and also student and tutor."she said hilariously and the both laughed.

She was still laughing when she brought out her cellphone.Shee was shocked to see several missed calls and texts."

   "I'll be leaving.... I have to go...."she said after reading the texts.

   "What's going on Genevieve? Is everything okay?"Liam asked when she hurriedly stood up.

   "I'll meet you after school."she said and quickly left........

   Morgana glanced through the window and saw multitudes of students assembled in the hall far in front of her..She was visibly worried, Genevieve was in a deep danger.The director and every other tutors were present.

Just as she was about to take a deep breath, she heard a knock on her door.

   "Who's that?"she asked suspiciously as she clumped towards her door.

   "Who's that?"she repeated again, this time audible.

   "It's me"she heard a tender voice spoke.She realized it was Genevieve so she quickly opened the door.

   "Genevieve!!!Where have you been?"she asked as Genevieve rushed in immediately she opened the door.

   "I was with Liam, what the hell is happening in the hall outside?"

   "The director....he knows that you're having the cursed tattoos."

   "Really!?"

   "Yes, you have to hide."

   "Not anymore, I know this will happen... excuse me...."Genevieve said and she walked away, she didn't stop even when Morgana called her.

   She walked boldly in front of the assembly to the amazement of everyone.

   "You were looking for me director, what have I done?"she asked innocently in a coo voice.

   "Your hands...."he ordered and slowly, she stretched her arms towards the director.

In a flash, the director took off the gloves and everyone gasped...

The fingers were bare....there was nothing on it....🙀🙀

Episode 11

Roland, Loretta, Melissa and Tahma were much surprised when they saw nothing on her fingers.

   "What's wrong? why's everyone surprised?"Genevieve asked as she looked around.

   "But......"Loretta paused and blinked her eyes several times,"but it was on her fingers, I saw it, I did saw it.."Loretta stuttered as she pointed aimlessly at Genevieve's fingers.

   "What are you talking about Loretta? you saw what exactly??"She asked as she moved a step towards Loretta.

   "The cursed tattoos, believe me everyone, I saw it...."she said sheepishly in utter surprise.

   "Sir..."Genevieve addressed the director and walked towards him,"what's wrong? what's going on? what's the meaning of the cursed tattoos?"

   "It's nothing Genevieve,sorry for what just happened."The director was slightly embarrassed.

   "Everyone!!!move to your hostels..."The director ordered but Genevieve stopped them.

   "No, not at all,it isn't right to host an assembly in vain.There should be a reason for it."Genevieve said and folded her arms across her chest.

   "Loretta,can you gladly tell the students and our amiable heads what you were doing with Baggio in the restroom two days ago??"she asked and Loretta quickly shook her head trying to tell her not to go further.

   "Loretta was having sex with Baggio in the restroom."Genevieve announced and they all gasped in surprise.

   "This is nothing but a blatant lie,how could you possibly lie against me Genevieve, you're only trying to eliminate me because I know the truth."

   "I saw you Loretta,you had sex with Baggio, there's nothing to lie about."Melissa said as she walked through the crowds.

   "Melissa?!!! I thought you were my friend?"Loretta said.

   "I can never be a friend to a slot like you Loretta, you're an idiot."Melissa said standing akimbo.

   "Is this true Loretta?"the principal  asked sternly.

   "No principal, I can never do such a thing, when i'm fully aware that it's contrary to the school norms, she's just trying to blackmail me."She said at the verge of tears to prove she was innocent whereas she was guilty.

   Eventually, Baggio was kicked out of the crowd.

   "Tell them Baggio,we never did such a terrible thing, we're only good friends and nothing more."Loretta said as she walked towards Baggio.

   "We did it!!!!!"Baggio confessed and they all gasped again.

   "Baggio!??"Loretta exclaimed in disappointment.

   "I'm sorry Loretta.... I can't do this anymore...."he said as he nodded his head.

   "You just ruined my life Baggio,how could you?"Loretta said as tears streamed down her eyes.

   "Security!!! security!! Please take them out to where they belong..."The principal commanded and the securities walked in and seized both of them as instructed.

   "Dismiss everyone...."The principal screamed and they all walked away leaving the director and Genevieve behind.

   "I'm sorry Genevieve."The director said after everyone had gone.

   "I'm sorry sir...."Genevieve said and bowed lightly.

   "I should be the one saying sorry,not you Genevieve."

   "It's wrong for a director to apologize to a student."she said.

   "You're so humble.Can you have dinner with us tonight?me,you and Liam in my edifice."

   "Er..... I..."Genevieve was thinking of what to say when the director cut in.

   "It's an order.Hoping to see you."The director said and left.

   Mrs Morgana, Roland, Tahma and Melissa were pacing back and forth the library as they waited for the Genevieve arrival.

Roland was going to speak when the door was flung open and Genevieve walked in.

   "What's it? why is everyone looking at me?"she asked when she saw all eyes on her.

   "What just happened out there Genevieve?"Roland asked.

   "The cursed tattoos..."

   "Did they disappear?"They bombarded her with series of question.

   "Genevieve,"Roland called and walked towards her.

   "What happened to the tattoos? I was nonplussed when I saw your bare fingers."he said.

   "Nothing happened to the tattoos, they never disappeared, they're intact."

   "What!?"they all exclaimed.

   "I knew this was going to happen,so I did a plastic arm."she confessed as she smiled cheerfully.

   "What do you mean Genevieve? you're getting me confused.'"

Genevieve slowly removed her gloves exposing bare fingers, afterward, she effortly removed the plastic arm revealing her real fingers with the cursed tattoos."

   "This is unbelievable!!! The plastic arm looks so real much more like your skin."Tahma said with her eyes wide open in a great big surprise.

   "You better believe it."Genevieve said as she kept smiling.

   "This is a relief."Roland said and he exhaled deeply just like the others.

   "You're more witty than I thought Genevieve ,you did a great job."Mrs Morgana commended.

   "Thank you so much Mrs Morgana."

   "So what next????"

   "The director invited me for a dinner tonight.I will intentionally spend the night there so I will have enough time to search for the book."

   "That's a good idea,but you have to be very careful Genevieve.""Mrs Morgana said.

   "Of course I will."she replied.

   "Let's have fun guys... this calls for celebration..."Roland said hilariously as he rolled his arms.

   "Yeah!!!!!!"they all screamed happily as they rushed out leaving Mrs Morgana ..

   It was daytime already, it was slightly dark.

There in a beautiful garden were director Kim, Liam and Genevieve.They sat round a glassy rotund table munching fries and cheese.

   "I'm glad you honoured my invitation Genevieve."director Kim said and sipped a carafe of wine.

   "I'm honored Sir.."She said with humility.

   "You're welcome, i'm desperately in search of a person with the cursed tattoos."

   "Cursed tattoos??!you mentioned it earlier....."Genevieve said as though she was just hearing it for the first time.

   "I have to find it else i'll be terminated for life."

   "Terminated!?"Genevieve exclaimed.

   "Yes Genevieve, my dad once told me about this.You should join in the search team, let's find this person together."Liam said.

   "So what are you going to do to the person with the cursed tattoos.?"she asked curiously.

   "The person will be sacrificed to Gosham.."the director said almost immediately.

   "Sacrificed!?"She exclaimed as she turned to look at Liam and then, back to the director."i'm totally lost director, why should the person be sacrificed? and why will you be terminated??"she said inquisitively.

   "You shouldn't know more than this Genevieve,you should spend the night here.You can't possibly go back to school, it's late already."the director said.

   "But...."Genevieve was trying to prove adamant to avoid suspicion.

   "You should never say no when I give orders."

   "Okay director."

   "Let's enjoy our meal in silence."Liam said and they all ate and drank silently......

    Genevieve closed her eyes and opened them again.Of course she heard the strange voices that hovered on the roof.She slowly sprang to her feet and sneaked out of the room.

   She didn't know where she was going but she kept moving forward, she was really determined to find the book that night.

She quietly tiptoed into a room..a dark room..

   "What's this place?"she asked herself as she clumped forward.

She heard strange voices again,this time,it was so loud that she had to close her ears so tight.

   Suddenly,her cursed tattoos shone brightly again...She gasped as she tried to hide her fingers, but it seemed her body was just transparent because the light still glowed brightly.

   "No...not here...not now...."she said as her heart beat quickened.

Eventually,the door fell open.......

   "What are you doing Genevieve? you're....."Liam paused as he stood face to face with the cursed tattoos.

   "The cursed tattoos....."he stuttered as his mouth fell agape in amazement.

   "It's not what you think Liam,I..... I.... don't mean to..."

   "Keep your mouth shut you scoundrel, how could you do such a thing.You're a threat to my dad's life."he said with anger in his voice.

   "You have to help me get rid of this light Liam, please...."she pleaded.

   "I can't Genevieve,we trusted you, my dad exposed his dearest secrets to you thinking you were part of us.We were so stupid to have trusted you."

   "Please don't tell anyone Liam, I can explain,you just have to listen to me."she pleaded as she gasped quickly to the rhythm of her quickened heart beat.

   Liam smirked and crouched in front of her.

   "You're so cruel Genevieve, why would you say that? You mean I should not tell my dad when you fully know that your survival will cost him his life.I see no reason why my dad should be terminated because of a mere commoner like you.Think about it,my dad is such a great man with great responsibility,the success of the great St Mario high school lies on his shoulders.But who are you exactly? You're nothing, just a commoner, you're of no use,you have no respect attach to your name.It's a taboo for my dad to be terminated because of you Genevieve,you deserve to be sacrificed."Liam said in a coo voice.

   "Now I see who you truly are Liam, I thought you were different, I thought you were the lad who just realized his mistakes.You're no better than your father."

   "Wait a minute!!!!"Liam paused and chuckled.

   "What were you thinking?? you were only trying to get closer to us by becoming my tutor so you can discover the whole secrets about my father right? ohh now I get it, you're nothing but a traitor."

"I'm not a traitor Liam, I never wished for this, you thought I had the cursed tattoos intentionally?You thought I had this on purpose??"She said at the verge of tears.

   "No.... I didn't.I had always hoped of becoming a student of great St Mario high school,never did I know that i'll become like this, I never knew.If I had known this was going to happen, I wouldn't have had any interest in it."she said as the tears flowed freely from her eyes.

Liam exhaled deeply and looked at her, obviously in pity.

   "So what do you want me to do Genevieve?"he asked politely.

   "Take me out of here, please lead me out this building so I can go back to my hostel.Please...."

   "No,,,, it's late,you can't go out, there's no taxi.Besides, people will be shocked to see your fingers this way."

   "But I have to go,your father will find out if this light doesn't go off."She persisted.

Liam heaved deeply again and shook his head.

   "Come with me... i'll drive you back to school."he said and he held her hand and together, they sneaked away with the tattoos still glittering brightly....

   Genevieve slowly opened her eyes when she heard the alarm bell rang.She thought she was in a strange place not until she saw Melissa and Tahma staring at her.

   "What happened?"She muttered as she slowly glanced at her fingers.The light was gone...

   "We told you to be very careful Genevieve.,"Melissa said as Genevieve sat on her bed.

   "I was careful, I was really careful.I was searching for the book when the light showed up again."

   "Liam brought you here in his arms as the light on your fingers glittered,you dozed while you were in his car."

   "I'm doomed!!!!"She said and nodded.

   "Don't say that,we must be ready to get to the root of this."Melissa said.

   "No.Come off it, it's never going to work, I can't do this anymore...."she said tearfully as she walked away towards the golden framed window.

   "Just look how weary I am, i'm going crazy all because of a documented piece of rubbish which states nothing but a complicated myth.We were daft to have believed those words written in the book.Just look at it;it said I was meant to save the students from a curse which is a blessing in disguise, what curse was it talking about exactly?St Mario high school is blessed,it accommodates the best scholars in the world, someone must have written that book as a prank."she said and sniffed.

   "It's not a prank Genevieve, let's do this together.The writer can't possibly write a prank that is actually happening in reality.I feel it deep inside of me that this is real."Tahma said.

"No it isn't.We've been tricked into believing all of this, they are not real...The director must be telling the truth,the tattoos are dangerous, i'm beginning to realize our mistakes.I have never encountered anything good since I came here,my grades are dropping, i'm literally becoming crazy.I'm becoming a lunatic.My dad will be very disappointed when he sees the demon his daughter had become .

   "Don't be too sure that the director is right... that's enough reason why....."Tahma was interrupted by a knock on the door.

   "Come in, the door's open."Melissa said and Roland walked in.

   "Hi girls, Genevieve,how was your night? did you find the book?"he asked curiously.

Genevieve chuckled lightly and walked towards him.

   "I'm not interested in this anymore.... i'm done.I want to be like every other students who were enrolled to learn....."Genevieve said and she stormed away leaving the three of them in disappointment..

   Genevieve sat in the class as the history tutor lectured them.She was absent minded . She wasn't paying attention to what he was saying.

She was deep in thought, she couldn't wait to go back to her family,her dad in particular, who had always wanted the best for her.She was ready to soothe her disturbed mindset with school works and nothing more.

   "Hey Genevieve!!!!"the history teacher's voice brought her back to reality.

   "What's wrong with you?? you've been a weïrdo since you came to this school."he emphasized.

   "I... I.."she was thinking of what to say when the door was barged open and some students rushed in

   "It's Tahma, she's in trouble..."One of the students announced and they hurriedly left the class to see what was happening.

Genevieve was speechless when she saw Tahma lying helplessly in the old school library covered in her blood.Ronald and Melissa were with Tahma before she ran to the scene.

   "Tahma.... what happened???Who did this to you???"Genevieve muttered as tears dropped down her chin .

   "I saw it...it was real.. I..."before Tahma could complete her words,her eyes lids closed in death.

   "No.... no..."Genevieve, just like the other students screamed when Tahma died...

Suddenly, Genevieve heard strange voices, she believed she was the only person hearing the sounds because the other students were mourning helplessly.

She looked further,far beyond the library in a dark closet.Of course it was in there, the demon was staring directly at her with his monstrous teeth and scary face.

   "This is just the beginning...."she said to herself as she held her fist firmly in anger.....

Episode 15

   Genevieve was perturbed as she walked with director Kim into the dark door.A long interminable silence ensued as no one was ready to speak first.

   "I'm very sorry Genevieve.... I never planned for all these."director Kim said sadly as they trotted along.

   "I never knew you had the cursed tattoos, I was heartbroken when I was told that you're having the cursed tattoos, i'm really sorry this is happening Genevieve..'

   "I believe you can make a difference director Kim."Genevieve said and he chuckled.

   "What do you mean Genevieve??"he asked.

   "St Mario high school isn't what we think it is.Your forefathers made a covenant with the demon Gosham,your forefather, director Romeo,wanted St Mario high school to be unique and famous from every other schools,so he traded the life of the students for fame.He ...."Genevieve paused when director Kim stopped moving.He turned back to Genevieve and looked at her suspiciously.

   "How did you know about these Genevieve??"he asked curiously.

   "Er....the cursed book."she simply replied.

   "Cursed book!?How did you get it??"he asked inquisitively.

   'liam didn't tell you??"

  "About what?"he asked again.

   "Nothing.It's nothing director."she lied and smiled cheerfully.

  "And you think i'm a coward to believe those lies?tell me, now!!"he ordered.

   "He showed me where I could find it."she quickly said.

   "You mean you've been here before??"he asked.

   "Um..no...yes, I have been here before."Genevieve confessed and director Kim flinched.

   "That book is sacred, I believe you haven't opened it because it's impossible to open."

   "Of course I did opened it, I wouldn't have gotten these information if I hadn't open it."

   "What!? How!?"he exclaimed as he trembled.

   "My blood..."she simply answered.

   "I can't believe this is happening."director Kim said as he teetered.

   "What's it?"

   "You've risen Gosham by opening that book, you've done something that the world regret later in the future."he said.

   "But I thought that demon with a scary, horrible structure was Gosham.."

   "No, that's Gosham servant, you've awoken it."

   "WTf!! I'm lost completely, I can't believe this is happening in the 21st century."Genevieve shook her head in confusion.

"Where's the book Genevieve??"

   "Why do you ask??"

   "I have to return the book as soon as possible before Gosham strikes...."director Kim said.

   "No director Kim, i'm sorry I can't tell you where the book is, there's more to know in that book.You can't possibly return it after the effort to get it."Genevieve said.

   "You wouldn't have said this if you actually know the repercussions of what you've done.You don't know the disaster that will befall the world if Gosham strikes...."

   "What are you insinuating director Kim?"

   "You have to tell me where I can find the book."

   "But....."

   "Tell me.This is the only chance to save the world."director Kim almost blustered.

   "Mrs Morgana.She's with the cursed book."she finally said.

   "The librarian??"he asked and she nodded.

   "I'll be back...."he said and was about leaving Genevieve behind.

   "No, i'm coming with you.i...."before she could complete her words, director Kim pushed her into a cage nearby and locked it.

   "You have to stay here.Stay alert....."he said and quickly left....

Mrs Morgana was all alone in the library going through the book when she heard a knock on the door.

   "Come in."She said and immediately, Roland walked in.

   "Where's Genevieve?I thought you were coming with her."Mr Morgana said when Roland walked in all alone.

   "I wanted to ask you same questions Mrs Morgana, I thought She was here already."Roland said.

Mrs Morgana picked her cellphone and dialed her number but it wasn't reachable.

   "Do you think she's okay? She's been out there for quite a long time now."

   "She said she was going to meet Liam,he had something very important to tell her.i wonder what it could be."Roland said.

   "I feel something is wrong, something seems weird...."Mrs Morgana said as she crooked her fingers.

   "I'll back in a jiffy."Roland said and was about to leave when the door was flung open.

Both of them were shocked to see the director.

   "Gooday director Kim.."They greeted as they bowed lightly.

   "Where's the book????"he asked fiercely.

   "What book are you talking about director??"Mrs Morgana asked as she stylishly hid the book under the locker without been seen.

   "Genevieve is in a serious danger,the school is in danger even the world entirely is in danger.I need that book now."he ordered.

   "But....."

   "No but!!! Genevieve is in danger right now,you can come with me Mrs Morgana if you want."director Kim interrupted.

Mrs Morgana looked at Roland who nodded his head immediately in support.

In a flash,she carried the book and was leaving with director Kim.

   "I'm coming too."Roland said but shook his head in disagreement and left with Mrs Morgana behind him...

   Genevieve groaned in pain when she unknowingly brushed her wrist on a thorn beside the cage.

She was about to lay on the floor when she eventually heard footsteps.She turned back to see who it was and to her amazement, she saw director Kim and Mrs Morgana.

Director Kim quickly opened the cage and she ran out and embraced Mrs Morgana.She heaved a sigh of relief as she embraced her,at least,she knew she was safe because Mrs Morgana was present.

   "Stay right here, I will be back."director Kim said and he held the book firmly and walked away.

   "Hope you're alright..."Mrs Morgana asked as she held Genevieve's shoulders.

   "Yeah .. i'm fine.Thank you so much Mrs Morgana, I can't imagine what I would have done without you."

   "It's okay Genevieve... you shouldn't thank me."

   "So, what about ro....."Genevieve was speaking when they heard an earsplitting strange roar.

They both gasped when they saw director Kim running towards them with his clothes tattered.The book was still in his hand.

   "Run,leave......"he screamed.

   "Gosham has risen to destroy the world....!!!!!!!!"

Episode 16

   Director Kim heaved a sigh of relief immediately he shut the dark door.

   "What just happened director??"Mrs Morgana asked immediately they came out.

   "Gosham has risen to strike...."director Kim replied as he panted.

   "But I thought you said the cursed book will pacify it?."Genevieve said.

   "Yes, it would have pacified it if I had returned it much earlier.Now, it's already late, I couldn't even move closer to where it was kept."he said and walked away with Mrs Morgana and Genevieve behind him.

   "Dad......."Liam called as he rushed to meet them when he saw them approaching.

   "Did anything bad happened??"he asked when he noticed their sad countenances.

   "Gosham has risen to strike..."director Kim announced as he walked towards his cabinet to take some wine.

   "This is so terrific dad, what are we going to do? Gosham is unstoppable."Liam said.

   "Of course he is.I just have to surrender son, there's absolutely nothing to do about it.'

   "What about the contract you signed with Gosham?Does it still stand??"Genevieve asked.

   "Point of correction young lady, I didn't sign any contract with Gosham,my forefather did."director Kim corrected.

   "What difference does it make dad?? She asked a question, the contract, is it still effective?'"Liam repeated the question.

   "Yes.The students of St Mario high school won't live above 40 and their first child will be sacrificed to Gosham just as it has always been."

   "There must be a way, we can sort this out director Kim, everybody is in danger."Mrs Morgana was perturbed.

   "There's nothing to do Mrs Morgana, I never wanted all of these.Why is these happening now? why should it be my own era?? Nothing like these happened during the days of my fathers.I was against the whole scandal when my dad first introduced me to it, I was scared.I never wanted to be involved but my dad lured me into it.He stated that it was a generational contract and it cannot be broken."director Kim narrated sadly.

Suddenly, they heard loud, strange voices echoing noisily from every corners of the house.

   "All of us are dead...'director Kim surrendered and he gulped his glass of wine.

   "No director, there should be a way.You should know better than we do.'"Genevieve said and director Kim smirked,he looked at Genevieve sadly and shook his head.

Eventually, his cellphone rang.....

Director Kim grimaced when he saw it was the principal calling.

   "I'm in no mood for a long windy discussion right now.I'm taking my last gulp before Gosham kill me."he said and quickly cut the call.

   "You should hear from him dad,he might have something very important to say..."Liam said when his father ended the call.

   "Nevermind.He has nothing important to say."

He was about to take a sip of his wine when he received a video from the principal.He tapped the video and was surprised to see what was happening in St Mario high school.

"No.....no.... this can't be happening..."he said and the others rushed towards him to see what he was seeing that made him surprised.Within few seconds of seeing the video,they all gasped with their mouth agape.

   "The school is in trouble..."director Kim muttered under his breath when he saw students, teachers and other workers scampering helter skelter for safety.The school was covered in thick smoke that was dangerous to inhale.

   "My friends......"Genevieve exclaimed and she quickly picked up her cellphone and dialled Roland's number.Fortunately, he picked the call.Genevive quickly told him to come along with Melissa to the director's edifice because something dangerous was about to happen and they needed to work together to avoid the impending danger that was about to befall the world...

   Mrs Smith (Genevieve's mother)was in the kitchen preparing pancakes when she heard the doorbell rang.

   "I'm coming.... I will be there in a short while...."she said audibly as she quickly took off her apron.

She carefully dropped the apron on the table and walked towards the sitting room to see who was at the door.

   "Blimey!!! You're here sweetheart"She said happily when she saw her husband, Mr Smith.

   "I missed you."he said and kissed her lightly on her lips.

   "Me too, c'mon get in, the meal is almost ready."She said cheerfully as she led her husband into the sitting room.

   "How was work?? It was hectic I guess."She asked as she unbuttoned his coat.

   "You're right,so hectic and the fact that I was famished made it worst."he said and rolled his eyeballs.

   "Showman..."She teased him and pushed him lightly.

   "So, have you called Genevieve??"Mr Smith asked as he sat heavily on the sofa with his eyes on the tv.

   "Yes I did.It was yesterday and she told me she was fine.I can't wait for the holidays so she could come back home, I really missed her a lot."

   "So do I.I've been trying to call her but her number wasn't reachable.But it's okay, i'm relieved since you said she was fine."

   "Yes dear.I should go serve your food in the dinning table because my lovely husband is dead hungry...."she said hilariously and pëcked her husband on his cheek.Then, she left.

She was serving the pancakes into a flat dish when she heard her husband screamed.She quickly left the kitchen to see what was wrong.Just like her husband,she was shocked when she saw what was happening in her daughter's school on tv.

  "My daughter is in danger... Genevieve is in danger...."Mr Smith said as he wore his shoes.

   "This is serious...."

   "Stay right here...I have to reach out to her before anything bad happens to her."

   "I'm coming with you......"Mrs Smith insisted.

   "No... Stay here.I promise to come back with her."he said and he dashed off.

Mrs Smith heaved sadly and was about to lock the door when she noticed someone was behind her.

Her heartbeat quickened as she turned back only to see the demon.....

   "There should be an information about Gosham...We can stop him."Genevieve said as she kept flipping the pages of the cursed book.

   "Stay calm Genevieve, don't panic.Everything will be fine."Melissa, (who had reconciled with Genevieve earlier on ) said as she placed her hand on Genevieve's shoulder.

   "I've told you there's nothing we can do... we just have to accept our fate."director Kim said.

   "Wait a minute, I found something...."Genevieve said as she brought out a thin note from the book.Just as she expected,they all rush to see what she had seen.

   "Mortality of Gosham @Rizenvious cave..."she read what she saw on the note.

   "Where's that place??"Mrs Morgana asked.

   "I have no idea..."Genevieve said.

   "I think I know the place...I have seen the cave before."Melissa said

   "Then we're going now.. before Gosham completely strikes."Genevieve said.

   "We're coming...", Roland said as he stepped forward with Melissa.

Liam turned to his dad who nodded his head.

   "Me too."Liam said

"Farewell my son....."director Kim said as he hugged Liam

   "This might be the last time we'll be seeing each other...."he said again at the verge of tears.

   "Nothing will happen to me dad..."Liam assured him and they quickly left....

Episode 19

   Genevieve felt a strange vibe immediately she stepped out of the cave.She paused and looked around if she could find anyone or probably anything.

Just then,her cursed tattoos started shinning again.

   "What's it this time??"she asked herself as she turned around again.She was about to walk away when the imaginary man appeared.

She almost flinched in shock when the man appeared.

   "Thank you....... for helping us.."she stuttered.

The man chuckled and nodded his head.

   "You don't have to thank me Genevieve, i'm only doing my job..."

   "You just called my name!?"she asked unable to believe her ears.

   "Yes I did."he simply replied.

   "How did you know my name???"she asked again,with a puzzled expression on her face.

   "I'm not a mere human so I should know your name....".     "By the way, did you find the sliver pebble?"he asked as he turned his head with his eyes fixed to her bag.

   "Yes I did."Genevieve replied as she brought the sliver pebble from her bag.

   "You're indeed very brave Genevieve, I sent the magical tunnel immediately I saw it was already an hour.I never expected you could risks your life Genevieve, I'm very proud of us you."the imaginary man accoladed.

   "Thank you once again...."Genevieve said.

   "Unfortunately,you haven't ended the mission Genevieve.You must make sure you insert this pebble in a cavity on its body after you must have touched the pebble with the blood from the cursed tattoos.You must be very careful Genevieve,this is a very dangerous tasks."The man said.

   "I heard you, I promise to be very careful.... just as you instructed."Genevieve said in a coo voice as she nodded her head.

   "Gosham is very tricky, don't fall for his tricks.Don't let him control you with reality,use your instincts because that is the only thing that can guide you Genevieve.Remember,you should insert the pebble in the hollow part of its body."

   "I won't forget, once again... thank you."

   "You're welcome chosen one...."the imaginary man said and he snapped his fingers.Immediately, the imaginary tunnel appeared.

   "It will take you to the director's house....."The man said and she nodded and quickly walked in....

Eventually, it vanished.....

   "Genevieve!!!!"Melissa called immediately she saw Genevieve appeared.

They all rushed towards her.

   "Did you get it???"Liam asked but Genevieve snubbed him.

   "Genevieve,,,,"Roland called,"did anything bad happened?? you don't seem happy."Roland said as he noticed her sad expression.

   "I didn't find it.....", She lied as she walked away from them.

   "Ooops!!!We're doomed!!!!"they almost chorused as they shook their head in disappointment.

   "Ta-da...I got it...."Genevieve said cheerfully as she raised the pebble.

They sighed in relief and almost embraced her at once.

   "You did it Genevieve, i'm very proud of you...."Roland said as he held her hands.

   "I promise you guys that I won't let you down and I didn't.Anyway, where's Mrs Morgana and director Kim?"she asked when she noticed their absence.

   "We haven't seen them since we got here.."Melissa said as she wore her coat.

   "We're bringing Gosham down....we should be prepared to say goodbye to Gosham.."Genevieve said.

   "So what are we  going to do with that pebble??"Roland asked.

   "I just have to touch the pebble we with my blood.Then, insert it in a cavity on its body."she explained

   "Just like that;!?"Liam asked in disbelief.

   "Yes,that is the only thing I have to do and we'll be free from all of these.We shall all live our normal lives after this is over."Genevieve said as she carried the cursed book.

   "I never knew that destroying Gosham was this easy..."Liam said.

   "You better believe it."she said as she firmly held the cursed book.

   "I'm ready guys..... let's do this."Genevieve said and she looked at each of them as they nodded their heads in agreement.

   "C'mon guys..... let's go....."she said and she dashed off and they followed her....

   The four of them walked quietly in the dark place.They heard several strange voices but they never cared.They kept moving forward untill they came across a shallow pit.

   "What's in there???"Liam asked as they stared at the pit.

   "What's this???"Melissa asked as they kept staring at it.

   "Let's jump.... let's....."Genevieve was about to go down the pit when Liam stopped her.

   "No... we're not going anywhere,we don't know what's in there Genevieve,we have to be very careful."he said.

   "There's nothing worst than what will befall us if we don't do this,life itself is a risk."

   "C'mon guys let's do this...."Genevieve said and she jumped into the pit and Roland followed.

   "You better come with us if you don't want to get your ass kicked by a monster..."Melissa said and jumped down.Liam heaved deeply and followed suit.

Genevieve was astounded when she saw her parents, Mrs Morgana and director Kim in a cage groaning in pains.

   "Mum..... dad....."she called as she ran towards the cage where they were kept.

   "Dad....your eyes.... what happened???"Liam asked.

   "How did you get here???"Genevieve asked but still no reply, they kept groaning in anguish.

Suddenly,an invisible rope appeared and caught them together.Genevive was lucky enough to escape.

Immediately, everywhere started vibrating and in a flash,the ground opened and a gigantic ugly looking monster rose from the ground and roared loudly....

Genevieve was amazed at its size because that was the first time she was seeing Gosham....

"You're welcome little one.... you're the midget I've been looking for all these while.Today will mark the end of your existence.."it said in a thunderous voice.

   "What did you do to them....? what did you do to my parents?"she blustered at the verge of tears.

   "They will all become lifeless in the next one hour,so get ready to say goodbye to them..or..."it paused and moved closer,"you wont even live up to that time??"it said and was about to hit her when she quickly brought out the pebble.

   "You should be the one going down... monster..."she said.

Gosham gasped in surprise when it saw the pebble.

   "Where did you get that from???"

   "You're surprised right!???"She revelled in his amazement.

   "I'm not afraid,you can go ahead and insert it on my cavity.But what do you think will happen to your parents? your friends?? They will eventually die when you do this.If you lose your parents and friends,do you think life will be meaningful again?You will be the worst person on earth if you kill your parents for a mere pebble.I promise to let go off them only if you give that pebble to me..."it said in a coo voice.

Genevieve shook her head sadly as she turned to see her parents and friends groaning in pains.

   "Promise you won't hurt us anymore if give this to you..."Genevieve said.

   "I promise my child, trust me...I will cause no harm..Give it to me...."it said as it extended its tentacle to collect the pebble.

Genevieve took a deep breath and finally gave the pebble to Gosham.

Immediately, Gosham crushed the pebble into powder and started laughing hilariously.

   "Fool!? What makes you think i'll do that? Good-bye...."It said and struck Genevieve heavily and she fell on a rock and became lifeless....

Episode 20(final episode)

   Genevieve gasped and opened her eyes faintly when she heard a thunderous sound that shook the whole place.

She looked up only to see Gosham trying to destroy the whole vicinity, she quickly stood up and felt a sharp pain at her back.

   "Ouch!!!?"she groaned in pain as she stood up with much effort.

Just as she was about to move forward, she saw director Kim running towards Gosham.

   "How did he escape???"she asked herself rhetorically and started leaping towards Gosham.

   "Hey Gosham!!!How dare you?? why did you do this to me?my forefathers trusted you, I trusted you and all you could do is to pay me back this way???"director Kim blustered as he waved his arms to get Gosham's attention, he seemed like an ant in front of Gosham .

   "You're such a coward Kim,you couldn't fulfill what your forefathers fulfilled, you were blinded by the show of human sympathy, you couldn't achieve a simple task that was expected of you..."Gosham said in it's usual thunderous voice.

   "My forefather must have been stupid to have signed such a contract with you Gosham.Haven't you gotten enough???The lives of millions of  students had been cut short, still you're not contented but so greedy that you want more...."

   "Watch your tongue Kim..... you have no right to tell me that.I will do as it pleases me and that's final."Gosham said with authority.

   "You're sick in the head Gosham....you can't do anything..."director Kim said.

Gosham frowned in anger and was about to strike director Kim with the lightening that was revealing around its hand.

   "Come on...do it.I'm not afraid anymore...."he said as blood dripped from his eye that was plucked.

Gosham groaned in anger and was about to strike when it heard Genevieve's voice.

   "Stop!!!!!"it paused and looked behind only to see Genevieve standing on its broad shoulder which was big enough to house a family.

   "What are you Genevieve??get down....."director Kim ordered as he was surprised to see Genevieve standing on its shoulder.

   "You won't harm him Gosham, he never did anything wrong...."she said faintly at the verge of tears.

   "Who are you to tell me that??"it said hoarsely as he picked her firmly from his shoulder.

   "Stop it.... you're choking me.....", Genevieve mustered enough courage to speak.

   "Don't do anything stupid to her Gosham..."director Kim ranted but unfortunately, Gosham flung her away.

   "You're so heartless Gosham.Why did you do that???"he said almost under his breath.

   "Get ready to die...."Gosham said as he lifted his arm ready to attack.

"C'mon do it Gosham... I'm not scared of you.."director Kim was speaking when Gosham attacked him fiercely...

Within a couple of seconds, director Kim was already sitting almost lifeless on the rock.

   "Direct...or Kim.."Genevieve stuttered weakly as she held her chest and staggered towards him...

She felt so weak that she fell heavily on the rock when she got nigh him.

   "I'm sorry Genevieve.... please forgive me..."he was pleading when Genevieve quickly interrupted.

   "You did nothing wrong to me.Please stay strong, I promise I will get us out of this mess..."Genevieve assured him.

   "I'm sorry Genevieve... I can't do this any...."he took his last breath and finally gave up the ghost.

   "You're in no way better than his lifeless body young lady...."Gosham said and roared thunderously again...

Genevieve stood up in anger and clenched her fist 👊 firmly.

   "This is over...."she said and stretched her arms.

Lo and behold....her cursed tattoos started glittering so brightly.

   "You can't do anything weakling..."Gosham mocked.

Eventually,the cursed tattoos spread all over her body...this led to a sudden burst of light on her entire body.The light was so bright that Gosham had to cover it's eyes.

   Suddenly,her eyeballs became golden in colour and then, she started chanting something strange.

The cursed book started flipping and moving and moving upwards just as she was also ascending...

   "This is the end...."she said in a very deep voice that echoes twice.

Gosham quickly lifted its arm to hit her but this time,it was impossible.He couldn't hit her because he felt a strange vibe that was obstructing its arm.

Genevieve continued chanting and Gosham roared in anger.It wanted to move but unfortunately, couldn't move an inch, there,its realized that it was stacked.

Within a twinkle of an eye, many gigantic ropes shoot out from the soil and started binding Gosham...

Gosham struggled to let loose of the ropes but he couldn't.In a flash, Gosham started fading away...he groaned and screamed until its completely vanished.

Genevieve sighed and fell heavily on the ground immediately Gosham vanished.The light was gone likewise the tattoos all over her body except those on her fingers.Actually, she had no idea of what she had done, but she knew she had done something that had destroyed Gosham.

   "Genevieve!!!"She heard her friends and parents chorused her name as they rushed towards her and embraced her warmly.

   "You did it....'Roland emphasized.

   "Dad....."Liam exclaimed sadly when he saw his father's corpse.He knelt down before his father's corpse and wept bitterly.......

   Finally!!!!St Mario high school was in order.Everything seemed normal except the fact that the director was gone.He was buried a day after the incident.

   The school atmosphere seemed peaceful, definitely cool to the core because the students were free from the bondage that had existed for years...

     "All that glitters are really not gold... who would have ever thought that the great St Mario school was cursed.My problems actually started the day I stepped into the school and I regret ever....Sorry to say,,,,😘😘😘I never had any regrets..I once saw it as a nasty experience but no it isn't.I bet it was kinda fun wrestling with Gosham, such a mysterious creature... Who would have ever believed that I defeated such a huge demon.. I myself never believed I could do that.These past days in school was so much fun but most importantly horrible which made it the funniest... Though, I lost a friend and a good man who risked his life for me, i'll never....."Genevieve was scribbling on her diary when the door was flung opened.

   "Hello....'melissa said ad she walked in and Genevieve quickly closed her diary.

   "Hey....you almost scared me...."Genevieve said as she placed her diary in her bag.

   "Guess what...."Melissa said and she smacked her lips.

   "What??Tell me please you're keeping me in suspense...."Genevieve said cheerfully.

   "You have been announced as Miss St Mario high school!!!! Congratulations!!!!!"Melissa announced and Genevieve gasped in surprise.

   "Wow!!!! I'm so happy...."Genevieve exclaimed as she hugged Melissa.

   "This is really goodnews, I bet you know what it means to be the head of this Great St Mario high school...I wished Tahma was here..."Melissa said and her face fell.

   "She will be very happy for us...I miss her so dearly...."Genevieve said as she held Melissa's shoulder.

   "I can't really wait after school... because Liam,our future director...who appear to be our friend..."Melissa paused and they both giggled.

   "You're proud of been a friend to the director????"

   "Of course I am,who would have ever believed that I will someday sit and talk with the almighty Liam...you need to see the way every other students accord me respect all because i'm a friend to Liam...By the way, he's organizing a special hall for the date,you and Roland..."Melissa said and gave Genevieve a little wink.

"Hey you're kidding right.... This is so surprising..how come he never told me...."

   "That was because I was supposed to keep it secret, that was supposed to be a surprise for you and Roland."Melissa said comically and Genevieve couldn't help but beem..

   "So....can we go to class, we're running late.I don't want to miss classes anymore..."Genevieve said and was leaving.

   "Hey!!!I just saw something walk past the toilet...."Melissa screamed.

   "What???"Genevieve exclaimed and was turning back to see what Melissa was talking about when Melissa broke into laughter.

   "Just kidding...."she confessed and Genevieve took a deep breath of relief and started chasing Melissa playfully with her bag in her hand.
